We are retired and were examining our monthly utility bills. We discovered Verizon had been charging us $3,00 a month for roadside assistance that we had not ordered.

We contacted Verizon customer service and spoke to a supervisor "Tierra" in Little Rock, AK. We have late model cars and have been AAA members continuously since 1978 - so we wouldn't have use for their "service". They could not show that anyone had ordered this "service" on our account.

This had been going on since April 2015 - a total of $72.00 was paid. Tierra from Verizon offered us a credit of $18.00 (6 months) and then tried to make us the bad guys for not reading our bill carefully - the old strategy of trying to make the victim the culprit.

Product or Service Mentioned: Verizon Wireless Roadside Assistance.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

You're both at fault. Which is why they only give 6 months of charges back.

Yes, Verizon is sleazy but you should have looked at your bills. You've learned a lesson.

Actually Verizon should never had put fraudulent charges on their account so I’d say Verizon is at fault, not the customer.
