Verizon offered a $15/Mth plan to provide "Out of Country" cell service while in Canada (Not the same as calling from US...This is calling from Canada to the US). The $15 plan was a 100 mins plan with 100Mb of data which was sufficient for most trips of a week or two.

NOTE: You need a phone plan that gives cell service through the Canadian carrier system.

NOW, the cheapest option is $70/month or $5/day of use. Oh, they argue that they've added 400 Mb of data to the monthly plan...Woopey????

I feel ripped but have absolutely no choice if I need GPS or Internet Service. WhatsApp (cell APP) is a great VOIP that uses Data vs your phone line.....as long as you have free wi-fi AND both sender and receiver have the APP install. Then it's free to call.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $70.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
