After almost 30 years of service with Verizon wireless I closed the account and had my number phone number ported to AT&T on July 8 it was activated with AT&T Ive been now trying for months to speak with a representative at Verizon regarding what I believe was my last payment made that satisfied any outstanding balance on the account which was $97.04 and then received a final bill indicating otherwise I had asked multiple times if they are billing for services in advance and I have gotten multiple answers to that question and yet I have got zero resolution to the fact that no one has addressed or I have not been able to reach an actual live representative to speak with and show them and review payments that I made to my American Express and documents that state my payment applied to the remaining balance instead it was sent to a collection agency again after 30 years of service having zero late payments no problems with my credit and history with them or any other credit for that matter I have maintain credit scores on all of my accounts for the three credit bureaus with scores of 810 and above and now because of Verizon sending it to a collections agency I have now been reduced in my credit scores down to the 600s which is never happened before in the history of my credit and Im extremely upset and have not been able to reach Verizon representatives and have been placed on hold for hours at a time with no representatives picking up the line
Preferred solution: discuss my closed account, excellent on-time in-full monthly payment history over 25+ years as a Verizon customer. Immediate reversal of all negative reporting by Verizon to three credit bureaus Re “sent to collections for delinquent unpaid acct” .
Verizon Wireless Cons: Sketchy billing.
