Help I received at a Verizon store in Riverhead NY

I want to compliment Kevin who worked today at the Verizon store at the traffic circle in Riverhead, NY. I am a senior who owns one of those flipper phones. I do not want a big smart phone, but do rely on my phone for staying in touch with my family or for emergencies when I am out and about. Well, my Verizon flipper was dead, but Kevin saw the problem, opened the back, jiggled the tiny battery, and voila, the phone was on. He did not try to sell my anything but did advise me about a possible upgrade with larger characters. With such a device, I would continue the prepaid plan I have now for my Verizon flipper. This message is to give a thumbs up to people like Kevin, kind, temperate, helpful, essential workers for seniors and technology.

I can Assure you that Corporate Verizon Wireless absolutely took care of me and resolved all of my issues. It seems that these stores who advertise as Verizon Wireless are "NOT" really Verizon Wireless stores, but filthy, low life, independent contractors who are the ones who lie and cheat Verizon customers and "NOT" Corporate Verizon Wireless itself. I would suggest that if anyone wants to do business with Verizon Wireless, go "Directly" to a "Corporate" Verizon Wireless store and not one of these imitation stores that pretend to be Verizon Wireless.

I’ve been a Verizon customer for over 15 years, same phone number. This company has horrible customer service and their in store reps outright lie. I went into a local Verizon store to see about getting wireless internet access. The guy at the counter says to me, ”We can provide you with internet access for $20.00 per month". They actually charged me $150 for the supposedly $20.00 per month for 15 days usage a month. The store employee flat out lied to me, he must work on commission. Other companies have MUCH better and honest representatives. Stay away from Verizon. The sales rep assured me that the amount he quoted was all I would have to pay: no hidden fees. I told him my bottom line, and he stated that I would NOT be charged more than the $20.00 per month that he quoted me. Then January rolled around, and my bill was over four times it was supposed to be. Hours of trying to “review my bill” wasn’t helpful and trying to find anyone at Verizon to help me was a waste of time, so I went down to my local Verizon Wireless store and spoke to the “Store Manager, Justin”. When you call to complain and or go to one of their store locations, these idiots can’t seem to do anything. How is that for “Service”. When I told him to cancel my service and account, he said that he couldn’t. How is that for customer service, the store manager can’t cancel your account and or service. Save yourself some future heartache and anger and listen to all these bad reviews. The good reviews I promise you are put up by Verizon employees.

Broken Promises

I have spoken with multiple Verizon employees who have ensured me that the changes to my account wouldn't affect my credits that I receive monthly for each phone line I have contracted with them. The last few phone calls trying to get have this concern resolved has left me with no options. It's disgusting how Verizon isn't holding their employees responsible for their actions. Verizon says they record all calls for training purposes, yet they won't use them to investigate situations. I have been told by a Verizon employee her manager has approved the credits and it'll reflect on my bill within an hour or so. Never happened. Gave it a few days, called to speak with a manager who says he'll look into to it. Now almost a week past his promise of a returned call, nothing. It's funny how Verizon has you locked into a contract and will hold the consumer responsible to the very last day, yet when they make a change there isn't any Communication. And Verizon believes this is okay. All I'm asking for is what's right. I want my $25 credit per line (4lines) to be credited back to until the end of each phone line contract date or to let me out of my contract without any cost. I never had any major issues all these centuries I've been with Verizon. However, not backing up agreed apond prices and programs, broken promises, isn't a company that worth my hard earned money. My $300 monthly bill might be small appeared to others, but I am a customer. And I and others deserve to be treated with truth and excellent customer service. I can't wait to have this resolved. My next step will be the attorney general. Just hope it doesn't take that.

Go Wireless: The Go-To Place for Verizon

If you want honesty and professionalism in dealing with Verizon Wireless retailers, the Go Wireless office at Paradise Marketplace, 3870 E. Flamingo Rd in Las Vegas Nevada is the place to go. Michael, the manager, was supportive and assisted me from trying to find my existing Verizon account (and at the time, we couldn't get it), through what I needed when ultimately, I returned the phone. He was patient, kind and supportive of my decisions. Even if he wound up taking the phone back, he assisted me every step of the way, to avoid penalties, etc. I believe that good people like him deserve good customers. So if you believe that YOU are a good customer and looking for decent businesses in the wireless services industry, Michael and the Go Wireless store is what you are looking for! Thank you, Michael, for your help and kindness. You run a business that should truly be a model for others.

Overcharged on Screen Protector at Verizon Wireless Store

I went to the Verizon Wireless store in my local area, where I have been a customer for over 10 years. I went there to replace a broken phone and in the interim replace the screen protector. I couldn't believe the price that I was charged for a screen protector, which was $ 27.00!! There prices are triple the cost of the same screen protector on Amazon for $ 8.00, they really markup the cost. They should have given me the screen protector for free to show their appreciation for my loyalty!

If you don't like the price, then shop elsewhere is the bottom line. Simple.

It's their business and they can charge what they want for a product. You don't have to buy from them.

Terrible interaction with customer

I went in to upgrade my phone. I had already researched and knew exactly which phone I wanted. I was greeted by a sales rep. and I took him to the phone I wanted. He enthusiastically told me about the accessory combo pack they had for the phone and assumed I would purchase it. When I told him I did not want the accessory items his response was to stare me down for longer than most people are comfortable. He continued to pitch me on the accessories and I again told him I was not going to buy accessories. He became outwardly aggravated and throughout the process of activating my phone he continued to ridicule me and laugh at me in a disparaging manner. At every opportunity he tattled on me to other staff that I was not going to buy the accessories and the response from other staff was to stare at me and ridicule me. The ridiculing was loud enough to be heard by other patrons in the store. I am a pretty thick skinned person so I just absorbed the juvenile behavior. However, I couldn't help but be appalled at how any business could treat a long term customer in such rudeness. I would have walked out but just didn't have the time to drive elsewhere.
