Don't buy a phone from verizon

The greedy bastards lock your phone with their software. If u switch providers while keeping ur fancy device the verizon software stops u from having a good experience with ur new provider. U cannot configure ur new APN to the provider so the phone doesn't work very well, and verizon software will not let you use your device as a hot spot, until u give them more money. I am not even a customer with them and they will not unlock ur device to allow u be able to use it. So basically ur buying a device that is not yours So go directly to samsung or whoever and order the device.

The day after my account was closed (single line of service, no account issues or contracts), someone from within Verizon went into my account and made significant changes, before promptly selling my "debt" to collections. They reactivated my line, waived activation fee, added second line, doubled plan, and maintained billing for a total of FOUR MONTHS after receiving my last payment. My phone never had service after initial disconnect, nor did the second line they fraudulently added EVER have usage on it. To take it one step further, they disconnected all search criteria so that NO LEVEL if customer service, including Executive Relations (highest department to communicate with customers), so nobody could even locate my account. I confirmed with 30+ representatives that this is not normal. I also used to work their and doing manual account searches was very simple. My name, address, and SSN all turned up no info. Only the department that ran the initial credit application (CORE) was able to locate my account with SSN, because they are required by federal regulations to maintain that info. The final thing blows everyone's minds - VERIZON COMPLETELY ERASED ALL REMARKS IN THE ACCOUNT. All levels of employees in Verizon agree it is impossible to make these changes. The "Remarks" is a master log maintained on each account to clearly identify who accessed the account, exactly what time, and exactly what changes were made. They erased this info to cover up the fact that Verizon committed FINANCIAL FRAUD from within the company. I initially thought the changes were made between transferring my debt from one collection company to another. These changes are seen in Verizon's final bill, so I know 100% the FRAUD occurred from within Verizon. Verizon refuses to talk to me and has told me to never call them again. They said I can send a letter but they will never respond to me again. Court action and subpoena is the ONLY way to get resolution. Verizon is committing fraud from within the company. It would be stupid to do business with them in any way. This will eventually come out and be a class-action lawsuit, impacting stock prices and profits by millions of dollars. Nothing *** me off more than liars and thieves (except murderers and rapists). Verizon is lowest of the low.

Locate the missing "Remarks" without a court subpoena. This affected my credit for 7 years, and I still get harassed today (9.9 years later) by debt collectors

Even though Technology is good their Customer Service is the worst I have spoken with.

I ordered a new phone through Verizon and received a stylus pen and video game instead. Meanwhile Verizon Wireless was charging me for the upgrade until they figure out what happened. I am here complaining about Verizon Customer service yet I am being provided a phone number for their customer service.

Avoid them if you can find other service in your area

Verizon customer reps must have a special school on how to screw up orders and changes to service plans. 3 attempts now and still not back to where I was. Went to a factory store to get it right the first time but orders would not go through the system and I was told to call it in once my reset date occurred. Date comes, I wait on hold for nearly an hour, asked to change over to suggested plan as shown at store. So,CS rep did not inform me of all the "technicalities" when I changed my plans. Suddenly, 2 of 3 phones no longer have hotspot, they demand either a debit card (do not/will not have) or direct access to my bank account (not going to happen) in order to get the autopay discounts that I have had for years with my autopay on credit card. Now, they no longer want to offer discounts like I was previously given and they won't give me the phone plan at the advertised pricing. Also gave us the option for military discounts but the paperwork to get that is more involved than a bad day at the DMV. I got so frustrated and pissed off with the mis-information and neglect on their part that I called and told the rep to put me back to where my plans were before all of this crap started. Now I have less data on my phone, like it was, but the two other lines still do NOT have hotspot service like they formerly did, and now they have added me to the cloud without my authorization and will charge for that monthly after the first free month. WTF?? Too much wasted time accessing a human being to solve these problems because it usually involves an hour of hold time with at least 30+ minutes of that before you get t speak to a HUMAN. Texting has hold time as well and I absolutely HATE TEXTING. Spent more time on the text crap tonight, they say they are calling me right then and the phone never rings, neither does my wife's as the secondary attempt. GET THIS LOAD OF THIS BS - A PHONE COMPANY THAT CAN NOT EVEN CALL A CUSTOMER ON A PHONE WHILE THE CUSTOMER HAS AT LEAST 4 BARS AND CAN VISUALLY SEE THE CELL TOWER. If I could find service from another carrier, I would already be gone. Over 20 years as a customer (GTE at start) and their customer service keeps getting worse every year. They have become a monopoly and should be broken up for better consumer protection.

Will tell everyone I talk to about verizon

I tried to make payment on phone using auto payment would not work. put on with a agent. They charged 7.00 dollars for this and it was not my fault. Hum.. Tells me something about Verizon. I will pay for this darn phone I got and pay my bill until I get that over. I will in turn go to another company because I have been a verizon costomer sense the 90's, but I have had enough. This is not a fair practice to use a agent and have to pay for it. they get paid and this is double dipping. a angry person.

I feel your pain ! in my case it was SEXT-dipping !

Verizon online help told me it couldn't help,I had to call & speak to a rep(like with yours)That CS "accidentally" hung up on me after I asked to talk to a supervisor,spent over an hr getting a live person again,but got transferred 4 times to the wrong depts & even after I asked clearly at beginning of ea call if it was the right dept & they told me as response,"yes", then after again going through whole long issue,was then told it was wrong dept & then started being told they couldn't transfer,had to go back to auto system and start over...by end of it I had spent in total almost 7 hrs trying to deal with issue(that NEVER got resolved mind you)....the true ,infuriating issue even worse than that,they charged me 6 seperate $7 customer service charges for all that nothing !!! We need to reintroduce some of the strict old "Usary & Fraud" laws we used to have...they'd be OOB in a week !!

Horrible customer service!!!

After numerous requests to stop auto pay on my deceased mother's account they continue to withdraw twice a month from her estate and will not reimburse for the accounts which have been closed for months! I can reach no one that is helpful, not by phone, not by letter and not even on person to there company store.

Stop the auto pay immediately through your bank & have them file a fraud sheet.You'll have to prove that you did inform Verizon that your mother had passed ,as long as you have that,the bank hopefully should be able to get your refund for you,since by them doing this,Verizon made the bank involved in fraud & they don't like that,lol. my condolences to you btw,no one needs or should have to deal with crap like this when already dealing with grief :(

When calling in the representative has given me two different dollar amounts to pay. I asked to speak to a representative and they gave me back to the customer service que. The wait time on the phone has been two hours. I would highly recomending going with AT&T

Do you homework and ask about other fees

Brought phone at Costco in Boca Fl. Note 10+ At the very end (Mark) the person selling for Costco phone shows me the contract to sign after we have transferred all my old phone's data to the new phone. There is a hidden charge for Verizon which they have on the contract. He says I should be able to dispute this with Verizon. Well that is not true, spoke with Verizon and they send you to digital assistant which then connects you with a chat to representative. The representative was Kendal and he doesn't come on the chat for approximately 35 minutes. He then proceeds to tell me that this is standard practice. I told him I have three days to return phone so I deciding whether to keep the phone or return it and go to T-Mobile because the product there for the same phone without fees is a little better. I asked him to review my situation since I have been a customer for years. Of course he disappears with no response. I wait another 20 minutes and I am disconnected yet the website says I will not be disconnected. This seem illegal, first not to tell me by Costco of all the charges before my card is charged for the down payment and then for Verizon to throw out some canned answer and then disappear! Kendal was extremely clearly not someone that should be on the chat line.

Verizon lies! Verizon called Me out of the blue on Saturday Nov. 23rd. to set up switching from my Copper line to FIOS. I was also told I would get migrated over with no additional cost doing this, That is a Lie! I stated I am also a DSL For Life Contract Agreement $14.99. Verizon stated that is separate issue because. I told the Verizon Rep to have a Supervisor contact me to fix this issue, Rep state She would try; what does that mean? On November 25th I called Verizon Rep went back & forth on services, its going to cost me about $30.00 per month for phone & Internet service besides a $200.00 for the Verizon Router Modem. Unexceptionable. Verizon Rep stated they are not bluffing, they will terminate my phone Service on December 17th. Verizon lied about the Modem; Verizon Rep stated I could buy my own which is wrong. Only Verizon Equipment can be used, no after market. This whole situation was handled wrong from the start. Verizon doesn't care about there long term customers that are on fixed incomes. Verizon only cares about one thing, Controlled Closed Market they can manipulated for higher costs by extortion.

Forget Verizon

I tried to purchase a simple prepaid flip phone for my elderly mother. The order failed because the package was sent to the wrong address. I noticed the discrepancy shortly after the order confirmation was emailed to me, but Verizon makes it very difficult to communicate with them without a phone number tied to the account in question, and I had not yet received the number. The following day I managed to reach someone who said she would try to cancel the order. That didn't work, so I talked to someone else when the delivery failed. I was promised a refund in one day. It didn't come. Then I was promised a refund in 4-5 days. Then I was told that the refund had been processed a week earlier. I just spent an hour on the phone waiting while "customer service" people passed the problem around and finally lost the connection. Every effort to contact Verizon has been painfully frustrating. The automated answerer and chatlines hang up on me because I have no phone number. The person I'm talking to is never the right person to handle the issue. I strongly suspect that this is a deliberate attempt to get me to give up and let Verizon keep the refund. If I never do get the refund, Mom will still save money by using AT&T rather than Verizon.

STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON

FIRST- DOCUMENT DATE & TIME YOU CALLED VERIZON AND NAME OF REP. AND WHICH DEPT THEY WORK IN. I bought their phone service on a prepaid basis and their phone and wanted to keep my old phone number, they ported over the number and it had wrong name on it, after 6 calls to fix this and 4 requests, I went to Corporate office on Gulf to Bay Blvd Clearwater, FL.. They screwed me up worse.. changed phone # 3 times, their phone service would not receive calls inbound from landline. Corprate also changed my account type from pre paid to Business, then when phone STILL didn't work, I was told to use another Carrier. They disconnected 2 of the 3 new phone numbers and created a billing nightmare for me. I went 3 times into offuce before 1 perdon in Customer Service FINALLY DID THEIR JOB and disconnected and zero balanced out the account. Then I fought for 2 weeks to get my pre paid $ back, they kept passing me from 1 person to another hoping I would hang up. I did hang up, I called my bank issued credit card division and expkained5the *** Verizon put me thru for 5 weeks and I documented date and time of call and who I spoke to each call to Verizon. I sent all this to my bank, they credited back my card and investigated. 2 months later, the credit carcard company ruled in my favor and Verizon got charged back for the money they stole. FCC was contacted and all people who went thru same, go online and file a formal complaint with the FCC and call your credit card company, deny the charge and ask them to crecredit fit you.

Dont Do It

I bought a perpaid card and tired to scratch off gray area ,it never became clear for me to see the numbers to use it,took it back to the store only to find out the cards have a no return on them so im out of $30 and they wont even give me my money back on the defected card i will NEVER use their services again if they dont refund my money!

Be careful don’t believe the reps

Went from prepaid to postpaid was told a soft pulll was going to be done. And hard one was pull and they admit they broke there disclosures laws and put hard inquiry on my report. And say they can remove it to soft one they gave me 1 time credit. Wow They reps are not train they are told to lie
