Customer service

I tried to speak to someone in customer service many times regarding my phone. I was told by an automated message that I had to call back between business hours. I needed answers right then about my bill which was due that day. Verizon is one of the biggest communications companies and yet I had so much trouble trying to communicate with a customer service representative. Very frustrating!

Can't contact a human

I got a letter in the mail saying that I applied for an account. I never applied for an account so someone is using my information. I tried to talk to someone at Verizon but the automated service requires a Verizon account phone number. I do not have have a Verizon account phone number or so it would not connect me to anyone. I have to go to a Verizon store now instead of simply talking on the phone

Keep getting scam text and calls only 1 person has my number that is supposed to be the only text and call I get instead constant calls/text from scammers. Why is verizon allowing this?

Overcharged me for 6 months, unable to disconnected

I cancelled my account and transferred my line to a different company but verizon continue to charge me for 5 months. I was unable disconnect the one line left. Costumer service was very unhelpful. I went to the store 3 times no help. I wanted to get a receipt from a phone I paid in full 2 weeks before transferring service (i did because I was unable to get the line to work despite speaking to multiple people on the phone- they couldn't figure out either). I have been unable to get the receipt. They robbed me of 500 dollars. I was glad to get a $190 refund that will arrive in 5-6 weeks! Its been absolutely the worse experience. My family (5 lines!) have been with Verizon for over 15 years. They just don't care about the costumers and just want to take peoples money.

I'm mad and want to get rid of Verizon

The lady I talked to was absolutely no help I am pregnant and all she done was upset me and never answer any of my questions with a straight answer all she done was make the situation worse I will be doing what ever I can to get away from Verizon because of this experience was horrible I have never had this trouble before Im just done at this point

My phone has been hacked several times by ex girlfriend she is able to see my text messages say my contacts I called you last week two hours he reset some passwords and other stuff so he couldnt happen again it happened again last night Im getting ready to transfer my account to AT&T is someone there cannot stop people from accessing my phone this is detrimental to my business and my mental state my number is 281-910-****

Terrible Customer Service

Been with Verizon since 2010. Service was great initially, but gradually got worse as time went by.

This past year, data speeds have ridiculously slow. Sometimes so slow, a speed test fails, and I can't do anything basic like load a website or check an email.

I have called in many times only to get someone on the phone that says that a network engineering level 2 tech support ticket will be opened. Within 48 hours, I receive a generic text message saying the investigation is complete. They say I live in a marginal coverage area.

The only issue is, but might be true, but I have reported numerous zip codes while traveling in a 200-mile radius from my house in TN, and they refuse to acknowledge any problems.

I have escalated to executive relations and this was their reply. Notice how helpful they are trying to be.

"Hello Drew,

My name is Jonathan, and I work in the Executive Office of Verizon Wireless. This email is to confirm receipt of your concerns addressed to Executive Relations. I truly appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns, as it helps us become better at what we do.

I would first like to apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced with our company.

I understand from reviewing your concerns that your service not working properly. I understand that having reliable service is important as we increasingly rely on our cellphones. In researching your account, we have addressed similar concerns in recent past and going back as far as 2017. While I understand that service is important, we are not able to find an network disruptions found but rather found that the service in your area is considering Marginal Coverage.

While we understand this is likely not the information you wish to receive, we are not aware of any changes in the near future and have already extensively troubleshoot your concerns. While we do not wish to have any of our customers leave us, if you are continuing to experience poor service across this years, it may be in your interest to seek providers who may have better service where you live as we do not forsee future changes to your experience.

Verizon Wireless radio frequency (RF) engineers and system performance engineers regularly evaluate network coverage and performance to identify locations that may require additional coverage. Based on their analysis and recommendations, cell site construction or other improvements are then planned and budgeted accordingly.

Verizon Wireless' specific network expansion plans, locations, and timetables are considered proprietary and confidential

Overcharging my account

I migrated to another carrier around 1 March 2022. My bill was paid in full and now I am being charged another $75. This account was to have been payed in full, to include devices, and closed! What is going on!?

House phone and cell phone continually have service issues and clearly, Verizon has no clue how to fix this problem. It's impossible to reach Verizon via phone and if you bother to request a call back, you never get one. My new rule: If I can't contact you via phone, I don't want to do business with you. I'll spend today looking for a new service provider who actually might provide service. This has been THE WORST experience ever!!!
