Hotspot "my.jetpack" can't fulfill purpose

Verizon sold me a jetpack as a hotspot to be used in a position where a phone, or my vehicle could not connect. For $15 per month for rare usage, (and small volume of GB) it was hoped this would provide a solid connection in the case of a device not connecting properly. This price it was determined would be suitable year in and year out 15 * 12 times yr for the required couple of years till it was paid off or determined to be no longer needed. Over the months the fee changed from 15 to 40. The auto pay was taken apart unknowingly. The late fees became greater than expected. It soon became evident that quitting would be preferable to continuing. It was too expensive to continue and then proved to be too expensive to quit. Even with no usage the mathematics determined that it was $450 to continue and $175 to quit. Deactivation for free was not an option. In spite of the error message which often said "cannot connect" it was deemed a working model which could not be returned nor turned in for another. Nor could it be turned in for free (for no replacement) just "giving back" to Verizon. In the end I paid $15 for some months $40 for many more $20 for a disconnect fee and $165 to turn it off once and for all. I find I am left with a box which works which is now sold by Verizon for $100 limiting my ability to sell it to anyone for more than $80 or so. These little boxes so well advertised and sounding so useful should not be permitted to be manufactured or sold or rented. They are like a useless bad drug which will only cost the user money and will only provide them with problems. Verizon is the only winner with every sale.

User's recommendation: Do not allow this little data provider device fool you. It will provide hundreds of dollars of Verizon bills, tens of hours of support time, Finally it will be voluntarily deactivated to cut your losses to cut losses to more than youve spent so far for 3 mb of data in the few cases where it worked when needed.

Horrible Customer Service -

Termination of my wireless account - No service in my locations- Data quality and charges are outrageous. Text messaging stopped working.

Unauthorized Credit Card Charges, Locking us out of our Verizon Account

We have been locked out of the online Verizon Web Portal on and off for several months. Initially were informed both our Verizon phone numbers were not valid. Our Verizon account is supposedly unlocked and almost immediately it is locked again. Resetting password is meant with error, "That does not match information in our files". Apple "Find my Phone" app was disabled on both our iPhones; always worked before - first time we needed it was impossible to get it to work. Verizon is unable to confirm iPhones identity.

User's recommendation: Don't appreciate latitude Verizon took with my credit card, you shouldn't either.

Hot spot as I was told is a part of my package

I have not been able to use my hot spot that I was told is a part of my package in December 2019. I have not had any occasion to use it j in nail how and it does not work. When I called I was disconnected without speaking to any customer service person. Not happy with this. Ive been a client in excess of 25 years this is not acceptable.

Fraudulent calls

I receive hundreds of phone calls, threatening, and malicious, when I call back number Verizon says phone number is no longer in service, they have no body to speak with fraud department etc

Bogus charges

I signed a 2 year contract with Verizon and received cell phone services with them. Everything was all good in the first few months. They work with you on late bills and things. Well, I then added a jetpak hotspot to my contract. Of course with adding a new line my bill was not due and so I had a zero balance. So the jetpak came in and it was supposed to be half price with a new line which was $10 a month. Both my cell phone and the jetpak were unlimited plans. Well a month later I get a bill with verizon and the bill went from a zero balance to $2200. All from internet overages. I should have never had any overage because both lines were signed in contract for unlimited everything, including hotspot. This is around the time covid hit so verizon automatically adds everyone into a deferment plan and splits the owed bill in to six months or more payments. I never asked to be in this deferment plan to begin with but now this $2200 bill is stuck in this deferment plan causing mem to be turned of over and over and over again. I fought and fought and fought with Verizon for months. From June when the charges were first brought about Feburary when I have had enough and turned the services off and started searching for legal help.

Horrible Customer Service

I will never use Verizon Wireless Company ever again. I have spent hours trying to find a phone number that will get me to a LIVE person. I have called every number that came up on line which was about 10 phone numbers with 5 options to pick from but none of them were for customer service.. I hit every option on the phone numbers, and every one of them sent me to a CHAT window. I did the chat window several times to tell them I need to speak to a live person. I even called my local Verizon store and got the same run around with no live person. This is the worst company ever. They make you have to drive to the store to speak to a live person. Never Again.

Charges un called for

I have been a customer of Verizon wireless for 18 yrs and I have never been treated so badly has this time on my bill. I have cancelled my account of 18 yrs because of Verizon policy and should be fined ,,I will contact the necessary people to tile a formal complaint on this

Pissed off I can't talk to human and not a computer.

Your automatic system sucks can't or won't connect to a human, and the system won't accept anything but credit or debit cards. It's really annoying especially as this system just hangs up nothing but a dial tone.

Verizon rough shods customers w no recourse.Several problems w this co. They act like a god and treat people like crap.When I call its always to India,they lie to you to get you off the phone.I asked oct2019 for more usage.She said ok I will give you unlimited everything for 30.$ more a mo.It turned out to be 445.$ a mo.Than they lied about 170.$ refund,and I find out Im being charged 70.$ for ea flip phone.They offered me 20.$ refund for all this over charging! I hate these liars and did call ax attorney general to do something about the abuse to customers.
