Verizon Wireless
Reviews and Complaints
If I could give Verizon Wireless Customer Service less than one star, I would.
I have spent over one hour trying to speak to a Verizon customer service representative on the phone today. I had stated my problem numerous times in chats with them and asked, and even demanded, to speak to a representative repeatedly, to no avail.
I ordered a new phone and had two delivered yesterday, so I only needed to know how I should send it back? The machine I was chatting with obviously did not understand. The only way I was able to talk to someone was to ask to upgrade a phone. It is a sad day when a company the size of Verizon will not hire enough people to answer customer service calls.
The person I talked with even told me not to open the second package, or I would be charged a $50 restocking fee!
I told her that was definitely not going to happen! We will return the package to a Verizon Store today.

Verizon totally drop the ball on this one. After speaking with them about not getting my first order.
They convinced me to place a second order. I didn't have to pay anything due to their promotion.
By this time I had been without a phone for over a month. So I didn't...
The first came and no phone. On the 9th I get a bill for over $100 and call them telling them I dont have a phone yet and I shouldn't have to pay the bill. The agent tells me that the phone should ship the next day which was a Friday or it will ship the Monday after the weekend. On Sunday I check the tracking number they gave me and the message was that nobody was home on Friday to sign so it was shipped back.to the warehouse.
I call them right away and I had been off work that Friday and never left the house. They did not show up to deliver my phone. When I call they said I gave them the wrong address and I made myself clear that I did not give them the wrong info. My bill sure made it alright on the info I gave them.
I had a agent supposedly help me reorder my phone again and oh he was great and just lied his *** off to shut me up. He told me that I would have my phones the very next day. All lies no phone but another bill sure made it to the house. I don't trust now anything from the agents.
and my bill has doubled and still no phone. I will try to contact their corporqate offices and then the BBB. The agents say anything a lot of lies.
I had asked tor Corporate numbers or a quality manager to speak with and they wont give you a phone number save their souls. I have so disappointed in their public relations .

They leave a device you replaced on your bill when you told them make sure to remove that if you are switching me so I don't pay twice. You discover they didn't.
They blame you for it. They credit u like 3 months of the overcharge and keep the rest blaming u for not catching it sooner on your bill. They get touchy when you yell and swear at them. Too bad.
Don't *** in the first place. Don't stela in the 2nd place. Don't blame me in the 3rd place. They prob did it intentionally.
Maybe the salesguy gets a commission for a new line and nothing for a tit for tat switch. Can only speculate. They SUCK. BTW...the credit...YOU have to call an 800#.
The store guys don't want to get involved. How convenient for them.

Pushed beyond my tether….
Ive been a VW customer for more than 6 years. I have 5 lines and purchased 3 devices from them, a cell phone and 2 laptops.
On average my bill runs around $350 per month which I have faithfully paid on time for 72 months in a row. In Dec 20, I bought my daughter a laptop for Christmas and per VW policy, I was required to carry a data line @ $20 per month. No problem for me as the wi-if here is spotty and so this would ensure that my daughter would still be able to, and according to VW, automatically switch over to her data line and shed be able to connect to the internet. Given that she was taking her 7th grade school year online, Id have needed the data plan regardless of VW policy.
However, each and and every single time this happened, which was more often than one would expect, the data never automatically kicked in and there is no button, switch, app, stick or any other method on my, the consumers end to make that happen. The first time I called VW was in March 20. They explained it hadnt been activated on their end, apologized and were to credit my account back $60 for the 3 mos I paid for a service I hadnt received. Fast forward to June 20, when once again the data didnt kick.
This time, having a bit more knowledge, I decided to check on the app, exactly how much data usage was recorded going back to March 20. The answer,.0.00. Now, Im mildly annoyed. Ive got to call in again, remain on hold for Lord knows how long, explain the entire situation all over again and hope thatll get someone thats actually competent and will follow through with the point of our discussion.
I thought I had. A month later, I was sick for months with an infection in my kidney that eventually landed me in the hospital for several weeks which made it so, that for the first time in 6 years, I needed to call in and explain that having been in the hospital as long as I had, and for as sick as I was, had no way of doing any banking and could we please come to an arrangement that gave me more time to put a power of attorney in place that could interact with the bank on my behalf. They agreed and the new due date was to be April 4 22. As if all of this wasnt bad enough, on the 31st of March 22, 4 days before the agreement we had come to, VW began arbitrarily to interfere with my, and more importantly, my childrens service.
While Im laying in a hospital bed, at points my son couldnt get or receive texts. And then I experienced the same. Not constant, just sporadically. Next, it was the ability to place a call.
Some would go through while others wouldnt. Originally I had chalked it up to likely just the weather never imagining that a corp as large as VW would agree to leave my service alone, at least until the 4th of April. I couldnt have been more wrong. The final and most infuriating piece came later on that night.
My 13 year old daughter received a mssg to her phone telling her that her service had been interrupted and that she needed to contact the VW financial dept immediately. She is not the account owner, I am. She had never received any type of communication from VW for any reason, including upgrades and promotions. I was still able to make and receive calls and so was my son.
It was now clear that although VW had agreed on their end to wait a few more days for payment, they were going to play these games, or try to intimidate me into paying sooner.
Their tactic worked. I was given a mssg that my daughter was unable to reach me.. in the hospital.. for reasons explained above.
I tried calling VW financial dept from my hospital bed, it was not going to be a pleasant conversation, but when I tried, I wasnt afforded that courtesy as when I did try I repeatedly got a mssg saying that I needed to make a payment immediately and it disconnected. I could not even speak to a live person, 4 days before when they had agreed to accept payment. Thats fortunate for whomever wouldve answered that call. The next day I checked myself out of the hospital for the sole purpose of dealing with VW.
Went to the bank, payed the bill, in full and made the next phone call, to which I was now permitted to speak to someone. It was mostly an exercise in futility. Im sorry to hear that, but thank you for being the best part of Verizon. The best part of Verizon??
Really??? It was then I remember the laptop I had purchased and the not 1, but 2 calls I had made before I was sick. So, I asked the rep to check for me, again already knowing the answer. 15 months removed from the initial purchase, more than an hour of my time, twice, and still the line I had been paying for all that time still had never been connected.
Smh. Now, the same entity that couldnt honor the agreement that was in place owes me $300. While I had to pay them immediately if not sooner Im now expected to wait, 1 for a supervisor to call me, which shouldve been within 24 hours after I had made the payment and 2, 7-10 business days for the money they now owe me, so that I can take my 5 lines straight to their competitor and never look back. Oh, and just for good measure, its 5 days later and Ive yet to receive that call.
Sometimes, corporations get so big that they forget its their customers that got them there. If Im the best part of Verizon Wireless, theyre in trouble. I intend to share this experience across every platform I can find.
I implore anyone thinking of using VW for any purpose to think twice. There is no best part of Verizon.

Verified ReviewerContinued Billing after service was cancelled 4 months ago
I canceled Verizion 4 months ago and continued to be billed. This is now my 4 th call regarding this situation.
The phone you listed was stolen and canceled years ago, yet we continued to be charged even after it was paid off! The other is probably from an I pad that should have been canceled in March! Please clean up your records and remove this charge and do not even think about turning over for collections unless you want to hear from our attorney. I have had enough of playing nice with your incompetence!
Have I made myself clear? I would expect to see proof of this soon! If you have further questions please contact me at 320-221-****.
I am very disgusted to say the least and will be quick to share with all my friends on Facebook if not resolved soon! Sincerely DENA R Carlson.

Verified Reviewer | Lyons, IllinoisI received my equipment Thursday, and I returned it the following day. You cannot keep my email address straight.
I signed up for your cable and internet service, and after attempting to register and login, I wasted over 1 hour trying to get my email recognized. You tell me it is in use.
I have 2 emails you tell me both are in use. You people are as useless as uber. I get the same message from them. I guess someone else must have the same 2 emails that I have used more than 10 years.
How ignorant are you? The phone numbers they list as verizon are just a way to get money. It is not even possible to reach verizon. They ask if there is anyone in the household that is more than 55 years old, and when you say yes they are going to try to sell you a medic alert bracelet.
I would not be attempting to reach verizon if I needed a medic alert. How about giving me a phone number so I could talk to a human being? I am certainly not about to contact you for a medical alert bracelet. I hope you go out of business.
You are anything but helpful. I can just imagine how much a 'free' medic alert would cost. I wasted time listening to the sh_t, expecting I would be connected to customer service. I was not.
I wasted MY time listening to your nonsense, only to have the call ended by the number I had called. verizon- you are one of the best reasons people use tracfones.
- I tried about a dozen cs numbers which lead to recordings
User's recommendation: Do not waste your time with verizon's cable or internet. I wasted over 1 hour trying to register a new account, and verizon keeps telling me my 2 email addresses are already in use. No kidding, they are being used by me. How stupid do you have to be to work for verizon. You must employ the mentally challenged.
Bad services

I made my partial payment as was agreed and made a payment arrangement, and after all when we went into the company I told them what we could afford period monthly. We were told that's all the bill would be but that's wasn't true, when the bill finally came in it was almost $100.00 more.
We said I Lee couldn't afford more than $140.00 a month total. Our bill came in at $233.00 .
So I made a payment arrangement for that bill and did what I could to lower the bill as close to the price I told them we could afford totally, the next thing I know even though I made a payment and an arrangement for the rest in just a weeks time I wa shut off . The nerve of them
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
User's recommendation: Ask for an itemized bill and look at it right then and there or don't go with Verizon , we are seniors who have health issues and my husband still works full time to attempt to meet the difficult times we are at as a country
