Verizon Phones And Devices Review

I have to reset my phone to factory settings many times because of trouble opening contacts. And the phone freezes and shuts down. I even exchanged phones and problem keeps happening. I have been a customer since 2007 and this is best I have to deal with? Will not stay with Verizon when my contract expires.

Deceitful customer service rep

I am at Verizon wireless to decrease the cost of my monthly bill. After talking to their customer rep for over an hour we determined $75 of savings for my bill. This month with the cutback of service from 15 gigs of data to 10 gigs of data decreasing phone insurance going paperless in the billing. This month This month with the cutback of service from 15 gigs of data to 10 gigs of data decreasing phone insurance going paperless in the billing. This month I received my bill and only had a $20 discount. I contacted Verizon and was basically told I was out of luck those discounts won't happen and by the way it's going to cost more than $20 to get the services back you gave up. I talked to a customer representative and to a supervisor and neither one of them was concerned with the fact that they had a deceitful customer service rep and that I had lost services. I have been a Verizon wireless customer for over 13 years I am now looking at other providers someone I can trust

Promises Made and Promises Broken

Ordered a phone on Wednesday, May 27 with a customer service representative. Ordered white and Verizon Confirmed a black was shipping. When I called back, was told order could not be cancelled for 24 hours. So Verizon Customer Service placed a new order was placed for white phone to arrive Friday May 29. Found out today it was out of stock for an hour so it will arrive Monday not today. Oh by the way, I ordered it because I am leaving to work out of town on Saturday. Hmmmmm promised a white phone for delivery today. Two phones later it will arrive Monday. Brad, Verizon Customer Service, said it was no big deal and I would get the phone Monday. He felt Verizon had provided outstanding service. Go figure. I truly believe Verizon instruct the Customer Service Reps to listen, passify and then do nothing. Quality customer service at its best.....NOT

Billing Department Review

Verizon has not disclosed to me all the charges I would be paying for on my bill. My first bill I was warned would be a little higher than the 100 I'll be paying monthly. The second one was much more. And I was also told I'd get 240 in billing credit and that hasn't happened yet either. I plan on switching as soon as possible to a more honest company.

Phone doesn't need to work like a phone, apparently

After many many many calls to Verizon customer service/support, the bottom line is for me to simply have the internet (check my email) while on a phone call, I needed to be on HD calling. I have a Motorola Turbo and being on HD calling makes what was a cell call a data call (of sorts). The phone with this service didn't work well. The main problem is 20% to 30% of the calls I receive while using an internet app – I am unable to hear the caller and they cannot hear me. I have other issues, auto display control does nothing, music plays on its own, sometimes while I am in the middle of a phone call and other issues. I have had Verizon troubleshoot it many times, did a master reset and even replaced the phone. After hours of being on the phone and hours setting my phone back up multiple times, they came to the same conclusion I did – it is HD calling and how I use my phone (not asking for a lot, internet app or two and a phone). They will only replace the phone with the same phone and my choices are to not have internet when on the phone (all my previous models with less processor power could all do fine) or 20% to 30% of my received calls fail. Since I pick it up to answer, they cannot leave a voice mail. I try to call them back and since I run a business, sometimes a new customer and I look bad. The techs have suggested I could pay $400 to upgrade again, in spite of them advertising, pushing/suggesting this phone and supposedly supporting this phone. Another suggested as I keep paying for this phone, I buy a used phone on ebay and use that till I can updrade again, or take an upgrade from one of my children's phone because of the phone they sold me. As I had problems from the get go, they assured me it would be fixed and their promises got me passed the time of me being able to trade it for another. All of them guaranteeing this was solvable and they each would help me – of course, this is before some conversations disseminated into me buying a used old phone, take my childs upgrade or be extorted of another $400 to buy another phone they would advertise and sell to me like this one that doen't suit my needs. I used the analogy with one tech that there are laws against a car not working when sold to someone and they would not be stuck with it. Because there is not a law about a phone, doesn't mean it is not wrong. Her answer was that if the radio didn't work, they would not replace the car. Though they would replace the radio, I said her analogy was foolish. It is obviously more like not being able to get to work 20% to 30% of the time because it wouldn't work as a car, like not hearing each other is what it is like, it not acting like a phone. Verizon's policies is to stick you with a phone and charge a lot of money and you are held hostage. To keep your credit intact, you have to pay them their fees and if what they do for a business, you know, phone service, is secondary. My phone sometimes works like a phone with how they need this specific phone to work on their network and that is my problem. I bought the phone because of the battery and asked if all would work as my other phone. To make the sale, of course it will. No information of no internet while on the phone and that affecting the phone's inability to work as a phone. They do not stand by what they advertise and sell you if it cost them anything, only if it cost the phone supplier (why they will only replace same phone because that is what mototora will do) or cost the customer. I will recommend any company over Verizon and I am getting out of Verizon as soon as possible. After 11 or 12 calls, not one able to offer anything that fixes the problem without costing me money for what they sold me. And went to the Verizon store and not always receiving phone calls apparently isn't the end of the world. I was told that if I can make calls and text - Verizon has done their job. My phone doesn't always have to allow your phone to receive calls. I have to pay for an upgrade to get away from the offending phone

I had to just go to another carrier. Verizon is will only replace from warranty of the device. They are a middle man to sell the products,m but not come out of pocket for what they sold, promised, etc

Verizon Wireless - More Everything Plan Review from Phoenix, Arizona

We recently aquired about the "More Everything Plan" a farce family plan. We stopped in the arrowhead store in Arizona and learned this plan is a joke. We are trying to get our daughter on our existing account of 17 years with Verizon to ease her very under paid teachers income her in this country. She has an existing account with Verizon and was suckered into the EDGE option like we were. We were informed that her existing EDGE contract needed to be paid off ($168) prior her transfering to an existing Verizon account and then she could pick it back up after joining ours. This is typical of a large corporation making money off of honest working people in this country. Shame on Verizon and they will be losing a customer of 17 years.

Lied to by Verizon Wireless

We ordered three devices initially, two iPhone 6 Pluses and one Samsung, and were told that the iPhones would be delayed, which was understandable and we were fine with, and that all three phones would be on the same account, which was great. So, we eventually got the devices and activated them and started using them. Then a month later, we got two bills! One for one iPhone, and one for the other two phones. Naturally, I was confused, so I called Verizon, that told me that it was a mistake on their end, and they would do an assumption of liability for the one phone to be put on the other account, and that the first bill would be credited off in full. So that was great! Or so I thought. A month later, no credit, bill still showing. My husband called in, and they told him that it would be credit off. It wasn't. He called again, and was told again that it would be credited off. We thought that was the end of it. Until I received another bill and the balance was still showing. At this point, we had not gotten any communication from Verizon, no calls, no letters, nothing. So I call, and I'm concerned. I get told again that it will be credited off, but then the rep hung up on me. I call back. I get cold transferred to a representative who tells me that the old account has been written off and there's nothing she can do, too bad. I escalated to her supervisor, who basically had the same attitude of "too bad, so sad". That supervisor told me she'd call me back within 24 hours. I tried getting this resolved that day, and again reached another rep who told me she'd call me back the next day, which was Saturday, at 10AM. I never received a call from either agent. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited until Tuesday to see if they'd keep their word. They didn't. So I called again, and again, was told by an agent who had the same attitude of "I understand your frustration, but it's just too bad", and I am infuriated at this point, beyond belief from having been lied to not once, not twice, but 5 times in this matter. I'm very displeased with Verizon.

They are liars. I have been trying to get them to pay me for a trade in for 8 months now.

They keep telling me my gift card is on the way. I built a file of 9 months of correspondence with them and am filing with the Better Business Bureau,

Verizon Wireless - Cell Phone Repair Review from Granite City, Illinois

My cell phone stopped charging so I took it to the Verizon store in fairview heights, il. There the rep said he didn't know why it wasn't working but because it was only 5 months old I could get a replacement under warranty. I said okay and when I got the refurbished phone I sent back mine. A few days later I received an email stating it was damaged and I would be charged $300. I called Verizon right away and was told it was a mistake and I wouldn't be charged at all. I had them send this to me in writing. 2 months later I receive a bill and it has the $300 on it. I call Verizon back and they state there is corrosion to the phones port and it wasn't a manufacturer warranty issue. The phone was never dropped in water and the water sensors are still dry. The rep stated it could be caused by having my phone in tbe bathroom when taking a shower. That's a *** phone in my book. So I said fine, then why am I paying so much, what about the insurance I have for the phone? They said I can't use insurance because I sent it back. It is just ridiculous that I am told its under warranty in the store, only to be screwed over with the bill. Verizon has the worst customer service! Now I'm waiting for a call from management because I refuse to pay for insurance and then not be able to use it at all.

Got hacked, still paid for stolen items and couldnt get refund

My account was hacked about two weeks ago. The individual somehow purchased a second i-phone, memory card and sky rocketed the data plan. We immediately called customer service and had the line canceled and our account was locked. The following day we got an email that the i-phone had shipped for delivery so once again we called and confirmed that they canceled the line and the account would be revised accordingly, however today we just got our bill pulled (direct deposit) and what do you know we where STILLL charged for the phone that was fraudulently purchased. I can't get into my account because it is locked. They wont refund the money because it was a bill pay and they just would credit that account the money (this is the very condensed version by the way!!!) This IS RIDICULOUS! You told me we where not going to be charged, then you charge me and cant give me a refund!!!!!!! A i-phone is not cheap I'm suppose to just fork over the money because you cant give me a refund!!??! There has to be something wrong here, you didn't keep my account secure now I am paying for it ... AWESOME thanks for nothing !!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVIC

Verizon Wireless - Htc One M8 Review from Rush City, Minnesota

I'm talking about the pine city, MN location.. The guy literally asked me (sarcastically) if I was a nomad! when I refused to provide an address for the activation of my prepaid service (I later had to activate it!!) for the at the time 700$ HTC one m8 for windows, that only Verizon sold... So if a customer buying a 700$ device from you can be openly, in front of other customers, disrespected how do you have a job, jist of the story these guys really need to work on their people skills not just talk too each other about how much more they sold then the blah blah semi-local Verizon store over yonder, oh and to get my phone on a two year contract with a good credit score would cost 1000$ down (HTC one incl.) who the f&%k is going to pay 400$ plus 100 dollars a month for 1 gb of 4g when I can buy any flagship phone and set it up on prepaid for 45$ a month and get 500 mb..... Through the same *** company!!! since when does 500 mb cost 55$ extra a month, every company seems to value 1gb(1024mb) at 10-15$ a piece.

Verizon Wireless - Cell Phone Speaker Box Review from Mulberry, Florida

I started a brand new service with Verizon, new phone, new number, everything. Upon receiving my phone I realized the speaker box was broken and it was dropping calls ridiculously. After speaking to Almost 10 Verizon reps, one finally decided to send me a new phone overnight. After receiving this new phone, I test out a phone call and concluded that the speaker box was still broken and its was dropping more calls than the previous phone. So I call Verizon again, they suggest to me that I need to return the first phone before i cN receive another one, I looked in both boxes for the return labels, none of the boxes have them printed out. I had to drive up to the Verizon store, get a return label and have them ship it out. I was told by the reps there that I would be able to come back to the store on Saturday to get a new phone, since my phone should get to the warehouse on Saturday. I called the store twice on Saturday and it was when I called at 7:00 that night I was told that I wouldn't be able to come in to get my phone until Monday. Verizon has given me the run around, I've dealt with the most lackadaisical and unprofessional people in the store and in their customer service. This issue is now becoming a 2 week issue. I get the impression that they are trying to stretch this issue out until the 14 day period is over, so I will be locked into them. At this point in ready to be done with Verizon, I'm at the brink of my frustration with them and this has all happen in a period of one week. If this is how one week is with them, imagine 2 years. Just ridiculous.
