Verizon stealing data with VCAST VIDEO

4 months now I have been tracking my data to not being able to figure out why I'm suddenly chewing through it faster.... I kept detailed records from video tape to stop watch times to prove this, somedays up to 30 percent more I was changed for using their own supported application... when I confronted Verizon I just kept getting put on hold or transferred, but when I told them to just shut it off they suddenly were so nice and cooperative.... I'm thinking of writing a letter to the better Business Bureau and maybe their corporate office... or maybe just go to my attorney who handles class action lawsuits

Verizon Wireless Sucks

Two weeks ago I accidentally dropped my Razr and shattered the outside screen. I went to Verizon in Petoskey, Michigan and requested that they switch my service to my backup Razr. They asked if it was an Alltel phone, and when I answered yes, they said they couldn't switch the service. They said they no longer serviced Alltel phones. So much for customer service! I had to purchase another $169 phone and a new 2 year contract. They indicated my monthly charge wouldn't change, but who would ever trust them to that promise. Anybody dealing with these jerks needs their head examined.

Verizon Wireless makes me jump through hoops

I've spent 4 hours of my life talking to 15+ different Verizon Wireless employees & managers but everyone keeps giving me different responses. Why is it that several people working for the same company come up with different answers? I'm tired of waiting for my complaints to be handled & lied to about getting a call back. Why do I have to hunt someone down & repeat myself multiples times? Since you're not taking me seriously, I'm going to take matters into my own hands & make myself known to all of your departments, including & the board of Verizon Wireless.

Sold me a bad cellpone, went bad in 35 days

I went to the verizon store locally August 1st 2012 signed a new 2 yr agreement and paid $299 plus tax for a droid razr maxx, 35 days later the phone is malfunctioning (no sound at all) and verizon store tells me theres only a 14 day return on the phone. I am so pissed!! The Droid forums tell me this is a commom and reoccurring problem with the Razr maxx and a fix for it is to press on the speaker lightly on the back of the phone..... yes, it does fix it for an hour.....a day..... but continues to stop working. I want a different phone, not a razr maxx.....not a replacement! Flynn

Verizon is stealing money

I have tried to pay my bill twice with a post dated check and the first time there was $300 in my account instead of the $329 but verizon took the $300 and said we still owed the full $329 and then i post dated a check for my payday which was 8/24/2012 for the $329 and they took the money out of my account but since it wasnt the full $329 they took what was in there and is now telling me i still owe the full $329 all over again...when i know very well what the took out would pay the full $329 and a little bit extra to my current bill

Initially quoted one price but charged another.

After numerous years of being a Verizon Wireless (VW) customer I decided to upgrade to the 300 MG unlimited plan. Since I also needed a hands free device I decided to go the VW store on Montague Street, Brooklyn NY. I asked the customer service representative I spoke with how much it would cost to add my spouse's cell phone to the new upgraded plan. He looked up my current account information and said that it would cost an additional $10 per month to add him to my 300 MG account if he purchased a basic VW cell phone. He also confirmed the cost with a female colleague sitting next to him. Based on the amount he quoted I agreed to the upgrade and to add the additional line but he referred me to another customer service representative to process the transaction. At first I didn't understand why the first customer service reprsentative couldn't process the transaction. The second representative says that the cost to add my spouse to the plan would be $30 monthly not $10 because I did not already have a shared plan. When I confronted the first representative about the difference in price he denied giving me the $10 price. I feel I was the victim of the bait and switch scam. Although I signed the contract I would like VW to honor the first price I was quoted. In addition I would like for VW to retrain their customer service representatives to behave in a reputable manner. I understand that in the current cell phone market sales is a high pressure area but that should not lead one to be disreputable.

Verizon international phone is a ripoff

$200 in roaming fees while traveling, Verizon wireless is a ripoff! I will try to get my service ended as soon as possible. I hate Verizon wireless! The customer service representative totally misrepresented the ease of setup of an international phone, and underestimated the cost of the international service. It took 2 hour plus phonecalls to set up my phone, and a trip to the post office to send it back. My phone barely worked in Europe yet I was charged for huge phone fees! My voicemail didn't event work there! And they have no way of figuring out whether this was true!

Verizon "Screw" everyone plan & accounting

For 18 years, I have paid my Verizon bill on the same date, every month, religiously. For the last couple of months, there have been all kinds of issues, even though, as I mentioned, bill is paid same day every month. Since they have gone with their new plans, it has affected their accounting & billing system, and, due to this, I was billed for 2, yes, 2 reconnect fees in one month, data pkgs. being billed in advance, as well as, unauthorized amounts taken out of my checking account, (to the tune of $300+ over authorization amounts), and, they say the new plans have nothing to do with this. As I will be dropping all 10 phones on this account, guess they have just lost another contract, as, others I have talked to have issues with their accounting/billing/customer service as well. One co-worker has to continually call back in every month, because Verizon keeps dropping off her company discount. Another has had double charges taken out of their checking as well. Same reason one of the people on my account left Sprint years back, and, now, having to deal with Verizon having the same issues as well. As far as I see it, their new advertising/plans should be labelled as "Screw Everyone", as one person on the account has gone with Net 10, which is $45/month, UNLIMITED EVERYTHING, WEB/TEXT/VOICE/DATA. Guess it's the way to Screw Verizon, go with Net10, or, some other pre-paid of the sort, THEY DON'T LIMIT YOU ON UNLIMITED PLANS!!!! Verizon customer no service could care less whether or not they retain any long term customers at all!!! The reps., as well as, supervisors, are very self righteous, and, feel that Verizon can do no wrong what-so-ever. Well, do without me & the 9 others on the account!!!!!!!

Sounds to me you misseda payment and they shut your phone off.reconnection fees are for non payment. Something is not adding up,.

@PissedConsumer533167

Payment wasn't missed at all, that's why I moved on to Net10, not had any issues what-so-ever, and, it still uses Verizon's signal's, for less than $40/month, unlimited talk and text, 1.5GB of data, which is very sufficient for my use.

Disappearing account

Before being inflicted with Verizon my company was a long standing customer with Alltell. Due to the buy out we got moved over to a Verizon account. Now I will say we did have minor problems with coverage area with Alltell but no better or worse than what we have with Verizon..... With the exception that now, on occasion we don't have an account with Verizon. I'll grab my phone to make a call and I get a voice screaming in my ear "Your account can not be verified...." it goes on with some codes after that. So then I have to restart my phone, if I'm in the right area it will work, if not... Well, I guess I don't have an account. Calls to Verizon got us "Oh your using Alltell phones we need to change you to Verizon phones...." So 30 new phones are purchased... Same problem. Call Verizon "The code the recording is giving isn't one of ours. We need you to press* something something to send a trace call." Ok, try that. Same error message. Dozens of calls. Multiple tickets opened. All there best tecs looking into the problem and there is never a problem found. But we still don't have an account at random times. Where the real problem comes in is that we are on the road doing service work and when this happens we can't get calls, we can't make calls, voice mail will not show on the phone until you get a new voice mail or text. I got to the point after many calls I made one last call, "You win. I accept my phone will just stop working. And there is nothing the combined brain power of Verizon can do. But what I can do is tell every person I can that Verizon sucks.

Great phone service lousey customer service

Recently I lost my cell phone and had to get a replacement, only Verizon doesn't call it a replacement,One, they don't have the same exact cell phone which is what I wanted, so two any type I would choose is defined by them as an "upgrade" and thus they charge an upgrade fee of 30.00, and unless you want to pay an inflated full retail price for the cell phone you have to sign a 2 year contract. I am the first to say that I like their phone service I have no complaint there for it is great, however all of that is wiped out by their customer service which doesn't matter if you are dealing store personnel , on line or by phone.I will probably change companies just for this reason.

Verizon has no compassion!

I recently found out that I have an incurable form of cancer. I had to retire early which means that my income has drastically dropped. We are trying to find ways to cut our bills so we called Verizon and asked them if we could decrease our service on our cell phones. They refused to help us with this matter and showed no compassion at all and was actually rude. I'm hoping that I'll last until February so I can personally take the phones in and tell them where they can put them. By the way, it's not in the recycle bin....wait, now that I think about it I guess it is the recycle bin.

Jurking me around

I have been with Verizon wireless for over 5 years now. I went to get a upgrade back in August last year. I had two phones on my contrast and they said only one was due for the upgrade and it was not mine but that I could switch the upgrade and get the other one in a couple of months. That was about 8 months ago. Now they won't let me upgrade or cancel the other phone without extending my contract. If I cancel the other phone they say they will charge me over 200.00$. The other phone is about 3 years old and has stopped working.

Nothing Is FREE!!!

Dear Daniel Mead, President & Louis Sigillo, Vice President of Customer Service: I am writing to inform you about my dissatisfaction with Verizon Wireless and I would appreciate your response and further action. In July 2011, I called Customer Service to inform them that I was not able to download my picture texts; although this had been happening since Nov of 2011, I was not compelled to complain until I could not receive texts my sister sent- she had just had a baby. In response, I was informed by your Customer Service team that I would receive a free phone that has the capability of downloading big files. I did receive a phone in the mail- that was used and malfunctioning- to which I was again, disappointed. I called Customer Service again, and they sent yet another phone, which still does not download picture messages nor allow me to send them. I did send both my old phone and the 'replacement' damaged phone back- yet I was charged $299 on my bill for the phone I kept. After speaking with Customer Service again, I was informed that although I was told that the phone would be free, my contract states that if anything is wrong with my phone, the replacement will be charged. First- I do not want a $299 replacement. If i wanted to pay for a replacement, I would have paid the $75 my insurance charges me for a replacement. The Customer Service man did not tell me I would be charged "If" my current phone was cracked. It was a minor crack that I could live with and did not affect my usage. I would have gladly kept my phone and would have preferred for your team to actually fix the problem I was initially bringing to their attention- which is my second point... Second- The phone still does not download pictures, nor does it allow me to send pictures. I expect you and your company to do one of these things: 1. Not charge me for the replacement phone, actually address and fix my downloading pictures problem and keep me a happily paying customer 2. Refund the replacement- I do not want a $299 phone 3. Drop me as a customer with no early contract charges This deceptive practice is unethical and I intend to dispute it.
