Verizon scammed me out of $75

I setup new line of service with Verizon Wireless over the phone. I've been with them since they were Air Touch, I knew exactly what I wanted and I told the Verizon rep what plan we wanted. The Verizon rep told me and my girlfriend how it was setup, but didn't actually set it up that way. So we get a bill with $50 in texting charges. I called and asked for charge to be removed, and Verizon said too bad we sent you a text about it (which wasn't seen). Cancelled line, will never have another Verizon phone. Bottom line: they don't care it was the reps mistake. (They were willing to submit a complaint, but not remove the charges). And they charged us a setup fee too! Unbelievable.

They keep charging my bank account and they made it negative 2 times in a row!!!! They said they would refund I talked to Pat, Bob, and Lisa they all lied!!!!! Now they are saying they cannot give my money back even though it was unauthorized charges! This is the BS to the fullest. Thry keep giving me the run around and they don't want to face the truth that they have been lying to me and charging every 5 seconds!!! Leave Verizon before they do the same thing to you. This should not be even called a company!!!!!!!!!! And on top of that Verizon claims they dont have my bank account # they are liars and I hope everyone sees this and leaves their company!

Ripped-off

I cannot stand Verizon, I suggest no one choose Verizon for a carrier. I have found that I can save a $100 with competing carriers and that doesnt even include the military discount that other carriers are offering. I have been a customer for over 4 years and not once have they offered a military discount and I specifically asked at the wireless retail store, when initially purchased phone. The customer service is horrible and billing is very shady!!! They would not even give me any credits for the prior 4 years that I was told they do not offer military discounts. Also, do not ever buy insurance coverage on your phone, it is a joke. PLEASE CHOOSE T-MOBILE or AT&T::::much better prices and customer service!!!! Thanks for reading!!

I have yet to see a business that actively advertises military discount. I googled "Verizon wireless military discount" and got more than enough help and links DIRECTLY to their website.

Look and you shall receive. Why should they credit you when the only person responsible for not getting the discount is you?

Staff in the retail stores are not all uniformly knowledgeable about everything. Give them a call and explore more options than just their store.

Verizon Sucks ***!!!!!!

Ok, my story is long so bare with me. Four months ago my account got hacked on verizon.com (my verizon). Someone hacked their server and ordered an iPhone. I quickly called, got the charge removed and closed the my verizon account. So when I chose to upgrade my phone, during checkout, verizon.com said I'm not eligible due to my recent purchase. Once again I called and go my upgrade date changed. I've been a customer for 5 years and never upgraded. Now my upgrade date has been fixed. I go to upgrade and verizon.com's checkout wants me to register for my verizon again. So I try bypassing that step only to get stuck on the next checkout page that won't allow me keep my same phone number. So I try to create another my verizon account and I get an error message that with my phone number I can't create an account. So I call again and have the block removed. I create an account, just for the purchase knowing that I'm going to close it once I upgrade and move on. NOW attempting to upgrade to an iPhone, verizon.com doesn't allow me change my calling plan to the Share Everything. Actually doesn't give me any choice to remove the 450 Min plan. So I call in again to support and the rep tells me to just checkout and call in to change my plan once I get my new phone. By this time I'm pretty pissed. Then just before I decide to checkout, I notice a $30.00 charge for UPGRADING. Really! I'm getting charged for buying a phone, and paying more money for new services and continuing to be a customer. WOW...Absolutely the worst experience ever. Verizon SUCKS ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Verizon Charging for Charges Made on Stolen Phone

In January of 2013, I stopped using my Verizon phone because I had switched to my husband's plan with AT&T with a new phone I had gotten as a Christmas gift from him. In February of 2013, my mother, the account owner, called Verizon to find out what her options...

Verizon Wireless

I bought 2 Galaxy note 2's from Verizon Wireless on the 3rd of this month. I ended getting into a fight with my girlfriend and she then took both of the note 2's and supposedly put them in a sick full of water, come to find out she never did it. She lied to me to *** me off even more then I was already. So I called Verizon Wireless to try to get them replaced, and told them that i was having issues with the phones before this even happened. But because I stated that there might be water damage to the phones that I can not get them replaced thru the manufacturer warranty. I want this issue dealt with I paid close to $900 for both of these phones.

If there is indeed water damage and you admitted the possibility of this, it is not covered under warranty. The warranty is not administered by Verizon Wireless, but by the device manufacturer.

If you send it in and there is water damage, you will be charged for this damage. No warranty includes accidental breakage or damage. A warranty covers manufacturer defect, nothing more. If you were having issues prior to the alleged water damage, you should have addressed it.

When your damaged device is received it is inspected for any and all damage, so if there was water damage after any other issues started, that is the one that trumps all of them. It is not VZW's fault. When your device malfunctions, deal with it right away. The longer you wait the harder it is to get it resolved.

You are not owed anything by Verizon or Samsung, you purchased phones and reported water damage that you now say never occurred. Take responsibility for your actions.

Arrogant employees

I had an experience at this 'corporate store' with an arrogant guy name Will. He was not only rude but truly not a customer service person. I was talking to a woman I work with and she experienced the same kind of rude customer service and was misinformed completely as the outcome of her request. THIS STORE IS FOR BUYING ONLY! THESE EMPLOYEES ARE LOOKING FOR COMMISSIONS ON BUYING NEW STUFF - the last manager and current one just look at you like they don't care either---the employees are leeches for money - if you have any question about service or complaints - watch out--they push you off on the RUDE people. BE WARE of this store

I talked wiht them on the phone today 5 times, got cut off, put on hold 12 times and approx 3 hrs of my day. they do not realize or care that ppl have to work to pay the bill. But when they overcharge you , how are you suppose to pay it and why should you since they just overcharge you. Never choose verizon wireless

The same thing is happening to me in the exact same fashion. I am in the process of arguing this false charge between Verizon and Boss Revolution.

I don't understand how this could be happening and they should have a better system because I don't even have access to my history even though I should have a history page. Good luck with this headache!

No more free bluetooth tethering

This is an email I sent to Verizon Wireless Leadership. I just want to share because a previously free phone feature now will cost $30.00 per month to use. Leanna, Thank you for your response, but it is flawed and did not address the problem. I will try once again to fully explain the problem. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! First of all, I know that Motorola kept the bluetooth feature in the Jelly Bean OS that was present in the Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Second, I know that this feature will or should work. Third, you called the wrong technical folks. You should have called the technical folks at Verizon or the Big Wigs at Verizon, because the problem is with Verizon. Verizon is the SOLE reason this feature does not operate LIKE IT USED TOO! If you really did read all of my correspondence, then you would have read that NOW, with the Jelly Bean OS, Verizon has made it a requirement to activate the Mobile Hot Spot from Verizon in order for the bluetooth connectivity feature to work. Motorola does not control Verizon's Mobile Hot Spot, so calling their technicians was a waste of your time and a waste of my time to read. Up until March 14th, when I allowed the phone to update to Jelly Bean OS, I was able to use the bluetooth connectivity feature without having to activate Verizon's Mobile Hot Spot. I was able to connect my Samsung Galaxy Tab via bluetooth (pair) to my Motorola RAZR Maxx and access the internet with the Samsung Galaxy. REMEMBER no Mobile Hot Spot. Verizon finally finished what I am sure was a comprehensive review and test of the Jelly Bean OS prior to releasing it customers. Verizon has now made it a requirement to activate the Mobile Hot Spot for the bluetooth connectivity feature to work. This is a decision by Verizon alone and has nothing to with Motorola, so as I stated earlier, you should not have called Motorola….NOT THEIR ISSUE! I am fed up with all of the folks that have replied to my complaint. Not one of them has responded and fully answered my complaint. Each and every time the person responding leaves out a very important fact. JUST LIKE YOU DID! I have tried very hard in this reply to make sure that the entire problem is stated once again and where the fault rest. Verizon needs to acknowledge that they have altered a previously free feature and now are requiring the Mobile Hot Spot where they previously did not. THIS IS NOT an issue created by Motorola or a defect in the Motorola Jelly Bean OS. I am very displeased with Verizon right now and I have already committed that I will change carriers at the conclusion of this contract. However, I do want to make it clear that I would like out of my contract NOW as opposed to 12/2013 because what Verizon has done. The optimal solution is to allow me to cancel my contract and for Verizon to waive any and all cancellation fees. Another option is for Verizon to tell me how to uninstall Jelly Bean OS and revert the OS back to Ice Cream Sandwich. In either case, until I am satisfied with the responses from Verizon, I intend on telling anyone and everyone I can what Verizon has done with this previously free feature and I will do this via any public forum or Verizon forum I can find online. I will make updating customer review blogs & forums my #1 daily mission until my contract expires in 12/2013 or until Verizon releases me from my contract without penalty. Thank you. Keith Davis

Blue Tooth Tethering

I have a Verizon Motorola RAZR and yesterday the phone was updated to the Jelly Bean OS. Since the update, I can’t connect my tablet to my phone via Blue Tooth Tethering. I have contacted Verizon Wireless and I am told, "Yes you can as long as you also subscribe to the Mobile Hotspot". What a rip off! I have had this phone for 9 months and have been able to connect my tablet to the internet via Blue Tooth Tethering, a feature that is part of the Jelly Bean OS as it was in Ice Cream Sandwich OS and the original OS the phone shipped with. Now Verizon is saying this is a "Third Party Application". I disagree...It is a Motorola Application or a Verizon Application. I dislike Verizon!

The worst company in the world

I had Fios installed. I must have call forwarding and Call waiting working. I have 8 hours of my time (and counting) to get these call features to work. The more time I spent on the phone, the worse the service worked. Pissed doesn't begin to decribe my attitude toward Verizon. No one can fix this, no one calls back when they promise to do so. Hold times are ridiculous. This the worst company in the world. All marketing, wnat your money, zero service. Instead of spending money on their TV ads, they should make their service work. Again the is the worst company in the world.

Being charged for a broken phone I returned

I returned a broken phone to Verizon which I tracked to make sure it was delivered. A couple of months later my bill was $700.00 higher than usual. To my surprise, they were charging me a device fee. They claim their warehouse never received the device! I have made numerous attempts to getting this fee removed and every single time, they give me the same bull ***! "We will remove the fee, it will be removed within 48 hours. If it doesnt clear, I will see to it that it does and will follow up with a phone call." I have heard this same story at least 5 times with no results. I have also tried contacting Executive relations and so far I have not had much more luck with them either. I am fed up with the way I have been treated and bounced around. I am considering seeking legal action and leaving them for a different wireless company.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. Finally I filed a complaint with the BBB in New Jersey.

That is where they are based.

After about a week I got a call and they took the charges off.

What are you waiting for!? Switch your cell phone provider!!!!

Verizon has terrible customer service. They do not even have a customer complaint link and good luck trying to get a hold of an executive at Verizon who cares! There are much better deals out there with comparable service. Was a customer for 15 years, now I am DONE!

Happy with Straight talk.

Far less money, more minutes/texts, great phone and decent customer service. Verizon Wireless poor customer service!!

RIPPED OFF!

Left verizon Wireless because first they lied to me about the GB capacity of the phone I wanted, went home with it and discovered it was on 4GB versus the 16GB they told us in the store. Went back to the store they basically said I had to go with a different phone or buy a memory card. I told them, that was unacceptable they should buy me a card. And the other phones were more expensive as well. So i said forget it and returned both mine and my husbands phone and all accessories we bought. I get the final bill about 2 weeks later and it has the Early termination fee charged to each phone, but yet they told me no termination fee would be charged if the phone was turned back in within the 14 day period, which it had only been 2 days. So now I call them to let them know about this, so they guy at their 800 number says that they phones have to go to a warehouse and be cleared first before they can remove that off the bill which is about 10 days. It sounded like a crock of *** but I said ok. So called back after 10 days, they said they would remove it, but they were also charging me on that bill for a bunch of taxes and surcharges and since I had just paid my bill I should have received a credit back of $65.29. So this was like mid-November 2012. Next month I get a bill again with the Term. fees removed but those taxes and surcharges still applied to my bill lowering my refund back to $23.29. Call them back and of course get a different Rep. each time. I finally get thru to him and get it all worked back out where he understands the whole thing. Now its Jan.2013, here comes the bill again, wrong again, call back this person can't seem to understand any of it. So says the bill is right and so today 25feb 2013 I get a refund check for $23.29, which is $40 less than it should have been. I am sick and tired of calling and explaining to each different rep. SO VERIZON HAS LIED TO ME, MISREPRESENTED PRODUCTS, DECEIVED ME AND NOW RIPPED ME OFF!! I HAVE SWITCHED TO SPRINT AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND VERIZON WIRELESS TO ANYONE EVER!! They will lie, cheat and outright steal from you and try to justify their greed on all angles. -- Michele Parker
