Verizon Customer Service Sucks

Let me begin by saying I have been with Verizon Wireless since they bought AirTouch. I have averaged my payments to them for this period of time and it's almost $80K. I am having problems with my current iphone 4 and called to see if I could get an early upgrade so I can get the iphone 5, I am 48 days away from an upgrade, 48 days! They will not do it, PERIOD! What ever happened to that Company that used to answer when you called them "your problem is ours"? They said I could buy a reconditioned iphone 4 but would need to sign a new 2 yr contract, now knowing I wanted to upgrade since its close to time and my 4 is having problems, why the heck would anyone with an ounce of brains recommend that? Seriously. One of the phones on my account is almost out of contract, will not upgrade that one, and will term contract after both phones are out of contract and go to another carrier, what the heck right? I expected great customer service and something for my loyalty for all these years, *** me, so any other carrier cannot disappoint me further. Am very dissatisfied. You guys let me down.

These Liars have an Extended Warranty service you should never, ever get!

These Liars have an Extended Warranty service you should never, ever get! Get insurance instead! Remember my words, because you will get .ucked with this. My microphone stopped working on the phone, so i sent it in for warranty service, they found some kind of internal issues other than microphone, they did not even find the microphone problem that's how we knew right away that Verizonwireless is a fraud! So they said it's some kind of physical damage but not on the outside?! But on the inside?! In any case, after talking to 4 customer service reps and 2 managers, we finally got the answer that it had corrosion inside and it is our fault?! Like corrosion happens overnight. In any case, they stuck us with $299 charge, they would not return my old phone, so they are willing to lose $203 monthly payment over one time $299 charge, which tells me right there about the brainless *** we are dealing with. Credit history is not a problem for me, its a matter of principal now. So when they won’t get the next monthly payment of $203, no $299 fraudulent charge they charged, no cancellation fees of $200 per line (2 lines total), plus all other charges they will pile up with the next 6 to 12months because it will take them that long to understand that we simply told them to go .uck themselves, they may take it to court, is exactly where I’ll be waiting for them with a very good representation. I guess they don’t get it right away, just like they lie about the problems with your phone.

Consistent problems with Verizon customer support

I have frequently had trouble with Verizon customer support. Here is the most recent example: I had problems getting webpages to load on my iPhone. I contacted customer support via phone. I couldn't get a hold of anyone in technical support because the recording kept saying that I would need to call from another number when all I wanted to know was whether or not we had an outage/problem in our area. Since I had talked to other people in my community, and they had the same problem. I finally reach someone in billing and explained my problem. He checked for outages in my area and claimed that there were no other problems reported and no outages in my area. I decided to chat with an agent about this issue, but their chatline was unavailable multiple times! In addition, they offer NO EMAIL ADDRESS TO REGISTER COMPLAINTS! Unbelievable, The only way to correspond with Verizon Wireless in print is through snail mail. That, right there, gives an one taste of how well they choose to respond to customers. I finally went to a Verizon store, and the woman there said that they had gotten quite a few complaints because there was a problem with a tower in our area. Either the tech on the phone was lying, or somehow, their customer service center didn't know about problems in our area. Either way, it's just another example of the poor customer support from Verizon. When my contract expires, I will be seeking another provider.

Connectivity device outdated

i had verizon internet for my phone and my laptop. well one day my internet quit on my laptop, but not my phone. so i go to the verizon store to see what the problem was.they told me that my connectivity device was obsolete and that it would no longer work with my laptop.they didn't have any other options except hot spot. so i call the verizon help desk same deal its out dated wont work anymore.well so i call to disconnect it since it don't work anymore so i don't half to pay the monthly fee. well they charge me 500.00 dollar early disconnection on a device that they said was out dated, its their device, not mine that was out dated.sorry bastards.

Bill scam

Verizon bill is never consistent. Reps never make changes when they are asked to and constantly put you on plans promising to save you $ then next thing you know you have an astronomical bill! Avoid if you can even though the service is good. They have a fee/charge for everything and i'm just locked into a contract with them having 4 lines it seems i will never get out. currently i have a bill over 1000$ for 4 lines and still waiting on rep to call back so that we can discuss this bill and still nothing. Somethings just not right.

Every company has taxes and surcharges. You can't expect to go to another company and not have "fees." You also posted a monetary loss of $1000.

Is that all wrongfully billed charges, or is that your bill with late fees from nonpayment? If it is billing and late fees assessed for service you received then it is not a loss to you, but to VZW. You refusing to pay your bill does not mean VZW has to just eat that.

If your boss refused to pay you because you were inconsistent with working hours, etc, would that equate to a monetary loss for your boss (the consumer) or you (the collector). Think about it.

Ripped Off by Verizon and Droid Razr Maxx

New phone worked for about a year. One day, the screen just flashed and left "blue sparkles" all over the display and wouldn't power on. Sent it back, had insurance. They held the phone, finally contacted them and they told me it was "water damage" although they admitted the screen problem had nothing to do with water damage and that the "water sensor" had NOT been tripped. They sent me a refurb, billed me THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS (I paid $150 for TWO when we first got them). Refused to cover it under warranty or insurance. Told me I waited too long for an insurance claim. Now the refurb phone isn't working properly. These phones WILL randomly dial numbers while sitting idle on the table. It overheats, opens and closes apps randomly, overheats and will not hold a charge well. Verizon told me they were "sorry" and would send me another refurb, however, I would still have to pay the $300. I refuse. BEWARE VERIZON WIRELESS, THEY LIE, THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!

Verizon Wireless poor customer service!!!

Upgraded to LG Revere flip phone. Bought new in Verizon store. 2 features did not work. Returned phone and was sent a used phone without back/battery. Used phone-same features did not work. As an aside, the flip part of the phone began to lose it's screws/cap cover. 1st verizon rep told me no problem, will send you a comparable phone (Samsung gusto 2). Never did. Had her name, ID # and location. Called verizon back and 3 subsequent reps told me they couldn't get a hold of her despite seeing her notes on my acct. Did not honor what she told me she would do for me and then told me I had to pay for the phone $99 because I broke it! Never mind that the features did not work! Verizon could not hear this. All they could hear was the phone is falling apart. Not my fault. Did not break it; it was used when they sent it to me as a replacement for the new phone I upgraded to. Like I told them, if I wanted a used phone, I would have bought one in the first place. What do they expect when they send you a used phone?! Then they tried to get me to upgrade to an I phone for $30, a 2 yr. contract and data usage fees! Then they tried to sell me the Samsung gusto 2 for $200.00!! minus a discount of $90.00 Really?! DONE with Verizon Wireless!! Got just what I wanted with straight talk. A new Motorola phone for $39.00. Got 1000 minutes/1000 texts for $30/mo. Had 450 minutes & 250 texts with Verizon for 54.40/month. Cell phone service is just as good. No problems. I was a customer of Verizon for 15 years! First time I had a problem that's how they choose to handle it. Verizon customer service sucks!!!!!!!!! Now they want me to pay $115 for early termination fee. NOT! What choice did they leave me? Why would anyone buy a phone from them? Do you want to pay $200 for a Samsung gusto 2 from Verizon or $39 for a Motorola W418g. Motorola rocks! Great tutorial on phone on their website too. All I wanted was what was fair. Replace my phone with one that actually works!! Don't blame me because the phone is losing it's parts. If I bought a used car, I would expect it to break. You send me a used phone, what do you think you should expect? Wasted my upgrade, spent hours on the phone listening to them tell me they are sorry, but those are my options. Pro Verizon and the *** with the customer!! I am cancelling my internet, TV and phone with Verizon next. Hello Time Warner. Had them before and they are fine. Verizon is ok, but nothing great. No loss there. Happy with Straight talk and my Motorola. Best phones ever!

Broken Promises - LIES

Took my elderly mother off of a contract plan with Verizon and put her on a "no contract, unlimited minutes, unlimited data and texting." I had to purchase a new phone $179, and prepaid 2 months thru to January 9, 2013. In December she was unable to use her phone because the message was "You are out of minutes." What?!?!? This is an unlimited plan. So, she paid another $50.00. This has happened 2 times and they still have not refunded the extra $50 that was paid in December, and now another $50 for May. Promises were made from Verizon to my mother's bank manager at USBank and we have a letter from Verizon stating we will receive a check within 6 weeks....that was 4 months ago. I would NEVER recommend a prepaid unlimited plan with Verizon. Their customer service is terrible and management is really bad!

Unethical bait-and-switch tactic added bogus fee to my Verizon Wireless bill

Verizon's customer service rep assured me I could merge my iPad's account with my cell phone account and I would save money. I asked if I would have to pay an activation fee, and she insisted I would not because my iPad account already was active. So I agreed. My first merged bill arrived, and there was a $35 activation fee. So I called to correct the error. The new customer service rep refused to reverse the fee, saying it was a legitimate charge. I asked for a supervisor, and customer service supervisor "Michael" employee number V0PIM23 also refused to reverse the fee. He said that even if Verizon's original representative has promised me there would be no activation charge, it didn't matter. He said that my contract with Verizon's, which I apparently signed 15 years ago, disclosed that fee. Apparently Verizon thinks it is perfectly OK to lie to customers on the phone, and then charge fees the customer was promised would be not be charged. I will never "activate" another thing with Verizon. Beware such bait-and-switch tactics by unethical companies. Verizon Wireless apparently does not value me as a customer, despite my 15 years of loyal business. Bad business practices like this need to be punished, so I'm spreading the word: Do NOT believe anything any Verizon Wireless representative tells you because they will lie and you will be stuck paying more than you were told you would have to.

Was told about loyalty plan with inky 250mb monthly data and if we went over it was $10for a gig...took two weeks to decide yes to change and then they Said they.just raised to $15a gig. Then a few bills later we went over and they charged $30so I called and they said it's $15for each 250additional mb not.gig which is not what was stated and confirmed.multiple times I have requested they pull the phone records and they say they.will and never.do.

they keep saying they will credit me and once again didn't and yet charged $15more again.

One of the.most unethical companies I have seen. Will be calling attorney General and lawyers (doesn't cost me anything)

Verizon, customer service needs new name

I received notice that my employer discount was soon to be cancelled unless I verified my employment status, it was a simple process, just visit the website. The website stated i could upload an image of paystub, well i dont have scanner, I will just go to the Verizon Store. I did, an employee copied my info, typed some info, had it verified by the manager and I was told it was all taken care of. 3 weeks later I recieve an email stating my employer discount is going to expire, so i call verizon. "Customer service" calls the store i went to, they have a record of the transaction, and is told by the store that they cant verify in person, well lets handle it right here right now, no you have to use the website or mail it "but maillong it will cause a considerable delay" or you can call the 800 number and they will handle it. I called the 800 number and was told I can upload the image or mail it, that this is the help they can offer, which in essence is no help. For community info, my employeer has their logo but no other company info on the check stub, customer service couldnt complete my phone help because i didnt kno corporates zip code (they dont have internet or zip service on there computers). All in all a very fustrating circle, I am truly happy that my contract is not the one that keeps their company afloat.

Verizon Wireless sending wrong info to debt collector

Today I got a call from a debt collector stating that I owe $800 from a bill that went to collections in 2011. I told her that I owed nothing, and when I closed my account in February 2013, I paid my remaining bill and early termination charge (total charge $125)in full the following month. She said I was a liar and that I must pay the bill. After 10 minutes of being called a liar and talked to like I was ***, I told her to send me the bill. She then proceeded to tell me an address I never heard of and a social security number that I also never heard of. I told the dumb twit that she had the wrong person, again I was called a liar and she hung up on me. I called Verizon Wireless, and all they said was well maybe your number use to be hers. I told him "That's impossible because I have had this same number 10 years, so how could she have had this number". I left Verizon because when I went to update my phone I was told I would lose my unlimited data plan. Im glad they eliminated the unlimited data, because I found much cheaper and better service with Virgin Mobile.

Verizon recieved device and saying it has water damage and doesnt

I called verizon and told them that my husband was having problems with his phone. They asked me what was going on and i explained to them that i had called a week before that and the phone was loosing internet service and that it was turning on and off on its own. I explained to them that my husband had it on the charger bc it had died earlier that day. So after having it on the charger for a bit we tryed to turn it back on and it wouldnt. They said they were sending me a refurbished phone because i couldnt take it apart to try and take battery out to see if it was that. I returned the deffective device back to them. About a week later they sent me a text and email statting they had recieved the device. Now about a month later they send me an email stating that they are charging me $300 for thw returned device. I called verizon and told them i wasnt going to pay for the device because it was never dropped in water or anything. The lady i spoke with told me that it could have just been moisture or have it outside while it was hott out. I told her my husband is very good with his phones and that he was always texting on it for his work or it was on the charger. I asked for them to take the charge of the device off my bill because it was not my fault and they said they couldnt.

Same here... my speakers were not working so I took it to the local Verizon store and the sales guy initiated the request for a phone to be sent to me.

No light sensor on. Now I am being charged 300.00. It's the corporate conundrum, the Verizon sales guy/gal wants to sell you a "warranty" as well as the phone so they push that sell assuring you a new phone if yours fails to function, but corporate will do what it can to insure they are not losing money by replacing phones so the consumer is once again the fool in the big corporate machine.

I would love to see statistics on the number of phones Verizon gets per month that are "damaged" and what % they actually do not charge versus the % they end up charging back to the consumer.

#658498

Us too. Just received an email this morning the IPhone we replaced had water damage and I owe $299.

#652063

I'm going through a nearly identical situation. Sounds like they always claim water damage when a phone gets replaced so they can make you pay $300

Verizon scammed me out of $75

I setup new line of service with Verizon Wireless over the phone. I've been with them since they were Air Touch, I knew exactly what I wanted and I told the Verizon rep what plan we wanted. The Verizon rep told me and my girlfriend how it was setup, but didn't actually set it up that way. So we get a bill with $50 in texting charges. I called and asked for charge to be removed, and Verizon said too bad we sent you a text about it (which wasn't seen). Cancelled line, will never have another Verizon phone. Bottom line: they don't care it was the reps mistake. (They were willing to submit a complaint, but not remove the charges). And they charged us a setup fee too! Unbelievable.

LIARS AND THIEVES!!!!!!!!

They keep charging my bank account and they made it negative 2 times in a row!!!! They said they would refund I talked to Pat, Bob, and Lisa they all lied!!!!! Now they are saying they cannot give my money back even though it was unauthorized charges! This is the BS to the fullest. Thry keep giving me the run around and they don't want to face the truth that they have been lying to me and charging every 5 seconds!!! Leave Verizon before they do the same thing to you. This should not be even called a company!!!!!!!!!! And on top of that Verizon claims they dont have my bank account # they are liars and I hope everyone sees this and leaves their company!
