Verizon and their mistake - bad transfer

I called Verizon to change my phone that was lost to a different phone for a short time. I frist talk with some lady Bernice who says the phone I am trying to use is a prepaid. She transfers me to the prepaid - Matthew or Matt, who tell me it isn't a problem to get my account active on this phone, but he needs to get me on the line with Bernice. He makes a mistake and transfers me to someone speaking spanish who doesn't tell me her name and will not help me. Great service - ha. I am now going to cancel my account with Verizon as I haven't had such a pleasure speaking with such an un-helpfull person. All it take is one lousy person and I would rather pay the cancellation fee and purchase a new phone than try to save this account knowing it pays her wage. Must say they don't know what service is and it is a shame --- some day the company will come into it's deserved end.

Verizon changes price on phone in minutes

I had logged into my Verizon account to add a line and added the Samsung Galaxy S III 16GB Bundle as my 2nd phone. I had a few questions for online chat and was booted out of their system, when I went back to again place my order the bundle price was increased by $50.00 on the bundle. When i called customer service they said if I did not have a screen shot of the price they could not honor the price. They also said they had no way to verify the price that was on line and could not help me without the screen shot of the price.

Verizon TeleSales predatory tactics ???

I believe I was intentionally misled by Verizon Wireless telesales to buy a phone not to solve my telcom needs, but to clear their shelf of inventory that is becoming obsolete. My current Verizon phone has become unreliable, and so I opted to upgrade it thru the verizon wireless telesales department. I described my use as a talker/texter but clearly NOT a data user. They sold me a Samsung Stratospehere (plus $30/month data package) anyway, because that makes their business run well. Trying to make lemonade out of a lemon, I gave that expensive phone to my kid, and started over again with telesales. Second time through, I asked for a "Basic" phone to text and talk on. And they gave

Terrible Service from Verizon Wireless

Approximately a month and a half ago, I went into the Verizon Wireless store to get an exchange on my phone that has been malfunctioning (restarting on its own at least once a day). They sent me a replacement, which had some cosmetic blemishes and didn't live up to the "as new" expectation. Even worse, the phone would only sporadically get a signal where my old one could get strong signals, and it was nearly impossible to make a call without getting dropped or just not having the call be able to go through. Sent that one back, requested another replacement, and that one had the same issues. Sent that one back. Called customer service and basically had my intelligence insulted (I know how to read a spec sheet. I know how a phone works. You may say that it's gone through a 100 point inspection and testing, but then why haven't any of the phones I've received worked?). Finally got them to send another replacement out and received it a couple of days ago, and that one also doesn't work. Now I have to send that one back and basically I'm told I don't have any options except to keep getting these non-functional phones. This has been an extremely frustrating process, and shows that Verizon will not go out of their way to help a customer even though it's clear that their process isn't working. Short of it is: - phone hardware that doesn't work on their network most of the time - keeps sending me phones that don't work - inflexible policy and really no apparent interest in helping the customer out I will be recommending that all of my friends not use Verizon until they get their act sorted out.

VERIZON is stealing from people and getting away with it!!!

I have been a long time Verizon customer and was always happy with their service. I wanted to stay with them but wanted to do a hobby I do called GeoCaching and it takes a plan with data to do that. I have the low min on my phone because I rarely talk on it and have 1000 text because I do use it to text since I dont talk. Well to get data they wanted $30 more a month which is almost double what my bill was. I had gone in in Feb to the store and talk to them about this and made many inquiries online. I was confused because I kept getting different quotes of how much. I was not happy I would have to resign another 2 year contract if I did want to get the data and of course I would have to get a new updated phone. So I shopped around and decided to go with a different company with the lower rates and that have the unlimited everything and no contract. So had my phone number ported over to the new company and I knew my bill was up to date so I shouldnt owe much to pay off my bill. So I went into the store to settle up and boy was I SHOCKED to find out they told me I OWED THEM $161.00 !!!! I said WHAT???? They said that back in Feb when I came into the store that I extended my contract by asking for more min on my plan! I said no I didnt!!!! I said why would I do that when you can clearly look at my long term history and see I NEVER use my min!!! WHY would I ask for more???? AND you can see that since Feb I have NOT used these min you claim I ASKED for!!! He said Im sorry ma'am but you did. I said do you have anything showing that I did? He said yes, you were in our store location and we have the employees number and the fact that they could not access your account without your information and autheration to do so! I said thats BS!!! Do you have anything signed by me??? Because I am telling you I DID NOT DO THIS!!!! He said well Im sorry ma'am but you did. You have broken your contract and you owe us $161.00! This is BS...they can do this to anyone....its my word against theirs. My best friend was with me this day in the store and she knows I DID NOT ask for this. But what am I going to do get a lawyer and go up against a big corp like Verizon??? or what not pay the bill and ruin my good credit??? NO!!! So your stuck to pay them! BUT THEY WILL NEVER GET 1 CENT OF MY MONEY AGAIN! I read on another site that they did this to another man....this is discusting way to do business! You know the old "ma bell" used to think they were the only phone company....now look hardly any of us have home phones.....phone booths are a thing of the past!!!! You keep treatin your customers like this VERIZON!!! You will be a thing of the past too!!!! We pay your pay checks people!!! I will no longer pay any of yours.......ever! Screwed me once...but never again!

I also had got tired of being screwed of Verizon. They pitched me an extra chunk of data and hotspot (which kills the phone battery in 40minutes even with power plugged in)... This additional data total at 6G, which I never used 2G or more. Here's the catch. I was told that with my account I must manage it with their app on the device. When I attempt to authenticate on the device it works for the profile, but then fails to load and displays an error to contact customer service to reset the account. I contact Verizon and they say I need to reset my password to reset the account. I reset my password. It fails to authenticate on the website (which customer service says is because it needs to be managed on the device), It passes authentication but then fails when loading the profile with the same error.

I've taken my phone to Verizon 3 times to get the account reset where I can manage my services. On one occasion they actually had the usage and these options loaded on screen, however when I tried, it failed to downgrade service and said the same initial message to contact customer care.

On my last visit I requested the person downgrade on my profile and he said he did but it really should be done from my device. We went through the cycle testing online and on the phone, and he thought that I had the password wrong, but in the end said it was because the phone needs RMA, and that he downgraded the data plan. I think he lied about that, but he said my phone is malfunctioning and also admitted that Verizon recently forced OS upgrade which temporarily erased my contacts and broke functions with a message 'the process is stopped', but no access to the processes that are not running. Then it got worst before I did a factory reset, but it still had prevented me from making calls or any consistent function for two weeks.

Gingerbread then Ice-cream sandwich or something like that popped up when it was doing a 2 day reboot i couldn't believed it ever finished...

Attempting resolution with customer service over the phone or in person was a waste of time, and I still need resolution. I stopped paying my bill once I realized I got scammed for almost a year on this *** up-sale that I was told I could monitor my usage and upgrade/downgrade on the Android device. I deserve to be credited back because that has not been the case.

I want to keep my number and pay what I actually owe, not their excessive fees 'which they are not required to charge', and not for data plan usage which was historically not used and they prevented me from removing from the plan. They should remove any negative report on my credit report and release my phone number -which is currently hijacked, and remove my account from collections... and give me a working phone, nobody should have to pay $600 for a malfunctioning 'smart' device and $150 a month for service that's barely used and prevented from downgrading for months!

Fix this and I'll say, great job Verizon...

Otherwise, I want out of my Verizon contract, them to take this piece of junk Rezound LTE and RMA it so I can attempt to transfer providers, and fix my billing statements retroactively which should equal out; about current when the credit is applied.

Verizon the unreachable company ripping you off.

I comported my telephone number on August 9, 2012. On September 11, 2012 I received an e-mail notice that I have a bill due. I went to check it and could not get in as I am no longer a customer. I have been trying to reach customer service for a month. Nothing. I finally go to the Verizon store and get a telephone number that will not hang up on me and spoke to someone about the bill. They told me that because my number had not been comported by the 5th of August I must pay the bill through the end of the billing cycle which is September 4th. So for 5 days of service I must pay a whole month instead of them just prorating my bill which would be the ethical thing to do. I will never go back to Verizon for any type of service.

Verizon stealing data with VCAST VIDEO

4 months now I have been tracking my data to not being able to figure out why I'm suddenly chewing through it faster.... I kept detailed records from video tape to stop watch times to prove this, somedays up to 30 percent more I was changed for using their own supported application... when I confronted Verizon I just kept getting put on hold or transferred, but when I told them to just shut it off they suddenly were so nice and cooperative.... I'm thinking of writing a letter to the better Business Bureau and maybe their corporate office... or maybe just go to my attorney who handles class action lawsuits

Verizon Wireless Sucks

Two weeks ago I accidentally dropped my Razr and shattered the outside screen. I went to Verizon in Petoskey, Michigan and requested that they switch my service to my backup Razr. They asked if it was an Alltel phone, and when I answered yes, they said they couldn't switch the service. They said they no longer serviced Alltel phones. So much for customer service! I had to purchase another $169 phone and a new 2 year contract. They indicated my monthly charge wouldn't change, but who would ever trust them to that promise. Anybody dealing with these jerks needs their head examined.

Verizon Wireless makes me jump through hoops

I've spent 4 hours of my life talking to 15+ different Verizon Wireless employees & managers but everyone keeps giving me different responses. Why is it that several people working for the same company come up with different answers? I'm tired of waiting for my complaints to be handled & lied to about getting a call back. Why do I have to hunt someone down & repeat myself multiples times? Since you're not taking me seriously, I'm going to take matters into my own hands & make myself known to all of your departments, including & the board of Verizon Wireless.

Sold me a bad cellpone, went bad in 35 days

I went to the verizon store locally August 1st 2012 signed a new 2 yr agreement and paid $299 plus tax for a droid razr maxx, 35 days later the phone is malfunctioning (no sound at all) and verizon store tells me theres only a 14 day return on the phone. I am so pissed!! The Droid forums tell me this is a commom and reoccurring problem with the Razr maxx and a fix for it is to press on the speaker lightly on the back of the phone..... yes, it does fix it for an hour.....a day..... but continues to stop working. I want a different phone, not a razr maxx.....not a replacement! Flynn

Verizon is stealing money

I have tried to pay my bill twice with a post dated check and the first time there was $300 in my account instead of the $329 but verizon took the $300 and said we still owed the full $329 and then i post dated a check for my payday which was 8/24/2012 for the $329 and they took the money out of my account but since it wasnt the full $329 they took what was in there and is now telling me i still owe the full $329 all over again...when i know very well what the took out would pay the full $329 and a little bit extra to my current bill

Initially quoted one price but charged another.

After numerous years of being a Verizon Wireless (VW) customer I decided to upgrade to the 300 MG unlimited plan. Since I also needed a hands free device I decided to go the VW store on Montague Street, Brooklyn NY. I asked the customer service representative I spoke with how much it would cost to add my spouse's cell phone to the new upgraded plan. He looked up my current account information and said that it would cost an additional $10 per month to add him to my 300 MG account if he purchased a basic VW cell phone. He also confirmed the cost with a female colleague sitting next to him. Based on the amount he quoted I agreed to the upgrade and to add the additional line but he referred me to another customer service representative to process the transaction. At first I didn't understand why the first customer service reprsentative couldn't process the transaction. The second representative says that the cost to add my spouse to the plan would be $30 monthly not $10 because I did not already have a shared plan. When I confronted the first representative about the difference in price he denied giving me the $10 price. I feel I was the victim of the bait and switch scam. Although I signed the contract I would like VW to honor the first price I was quoted. In addition I would like for VW to retrain their customer service representatives to behave in a reputable manner. I understand that in the current cell phone market sales is a high pressure area but that should not lead one to be disreputable.

Verizon international phone is a ripoff

$200 in roaming fees while traveling, Verizon wireless is a ripoff! I will try to get my service ended as soon as possible. I hate Verizon wireless! The customer service representative totally misrepresented the ease of setup of an international phone, and underestimated the cost of the international service. It took 2 hour plus phonecalls to set up my phone, and a trip to the post office to send it back. My phone barely worked in Europe yet I was charged for huge phone fees! My voicemail didn't event work there! And they have no way of figuring out whether this was true!

Verizon "Screw" everyone plan & accounting

For 18 years, I have paid my Verizon bill on the same date, every month, religiously. For the last couple of months, there have been all kinds of issues, even though, as I mentioned, bill is paid same day every month. Since they have gone with their new plans, it has affected their accounting & billing system, and, due to this, I was billed for 2, yes, 2 reconnect fees in one month, data pkgs. being billed in advance, as well as, unauthorized amounts taken out of my checking account, (to the tune of $300+ over authorization amounts), and, they say the new plans have nothing to do with this. As I will be dropping all 10 phones on this account, guess they have just lost another contract, as, others I have talked to have issues with their accounting/billing/customer service as well. One co-worker has to continually call back in every month, because Verizon keeps dropping off her company discount. Another has had double charges taken out of their checking as well. Same reason one of the people on my account left Sprint years back, and, now, having to deal with Verizon having the same issues as well. As far as I see it, their new advertising/plans should be labelled as "Screw Everyone", as one person on the account has gone with Net 10, which is $45/month, UNLIMITED EVERYTHING, WEB/TEXT/VOICE/DATA. Guess it's the way to Screw Verizon, go with Net10, or, some other pre-paid of the sort, THEY DON'T LIMIT YOU ON UNLIMITED PLANS!!!! Verizon customer no service could care less whether or not they retain any long term customers at all!!! The reps., as well as, supervisors, are very self righteous, and, feel that Verizon can do no wrong what-so-ever. Well, do without me & the 9 others on the account!!!!!!!

Sounds to me you misseda payment and they shut your phone off.reconnection fees are for non payment. Something is not adding up,.

@PissedConsumer533167

Payment wasn't missed at all, that's why I moved on to Net10, not had any issues what-so-ever, and, it still uses Verizon's signal's, for less than $40/month, unlimited talk and text, 1.5GB of data, which is very sufficient for my use.
