Did not remove Global Service when I requested

In mid July 2012,I called Verizon Wireless to add Global Service to my phone as I was traveling to Europe. When I returned to the US in mid August I contacted Verizon Wireless to remove the service since I no longer needed it. When I took a closer look at my November bill I noticed that the $29.55 monthly charge for the Global Service was still there. Now it's not the money issue, just $90.00, but when I complained about it today, 12/6/12, I was told that they couldn't do anything about it because there was no note about my request to remove the service. I asked for, and got to speak to a manager after a 15 minute wait. The manager told me he could credit the November payment but that would use up any other credit request I might have for the remainder of the contract, 2 years. I advised him that, because of that stipulation, i intend to cancel my Verizon system altogether when the contract expires. He replied "go ahead". I think Verizon Wireless should be aware they have a low class of management if this clown is representative of that group. I am annoyed to say the least.

Verizon Military Discount harder to get than Osama

I recently upgraded several phones with verizon, I spent $700, they offered via a huge in store display, 15% Military Discount. I am unable to get the discount because Verizon only made the signs, they never really had the discount. well I cant get it. what a bunch of UNAMERICAN Corporate *** at Verizon. ***! I was also offered $250 in rebates, 5 new phones @ $50 each. Now verizon says i did not submit all the proper BS, BS I did. I know att is the worst, but verizon has unamerican policies that actually hurt vets like myself. shame on verizon!

IF THEY CAN CHARGE ME, THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE A SERVICE THAT DOESN'T GIVE NEEDED PAPERWORK ETC. THIS IS BAD I already had a bad exp. with the USPS with a money order once and they told me packages and mail get so dam. they don't no who it goes to, and it is just lost.

Verizon Wireless is DANGEROUS

Had Verizon contract. Phone quit working @ home, they said they would send rep to chk. Problem continued, called over 40 times. 4 Months later they admitted they had a tower down, and said I needed to buy a $250 extender. I refused. Would not let me out of contract. In April, my home burned to the ground. They still would not let me out of contract. Verizon replaced the tower, came back out (to the burned down home), and said service now worked fine. Contract finally up July 2012. Went monthly w/Verizzon. Got robbed @ Walgreens. Tried to call 911. Call was dropped before I could give info. Tried again, call failed. Called 1800walgreens w/no problem. Reported to Verizon. They asked me to go back to where I was robbed and "try again". Finally reported to FCC. Verizon called on the FCC complaint, this call was recorded. Verizon attempted to give a totally different account of what had happened, and their response.

Verizon charges for no service

When I called Verizon to terminate my wireless service, I thought I was done with them. Then about a week and a half later (the end of the normal billing cycle) I received a full bill from them! When I called, saying I had terminated service and the amount was incorrect, the rep told me they initially "suspend" service in case people change their minds and want to come back to Verizon. She told me I should have called back and verified the termination the week before (I guess one phone call and porting my number to a different provider wasn't enough proof that I was serious about leaving!). I am now liable for paying for the 1.5 weeks of no service, when I couldn't use my phone anyway because service was suspended. Every time I think about it I get so *** mad I literally see red!

Verizon Unable/Unwilling to Help

Verizon Wireless: my phone stopped working today (LCD screen; completely blank now when phone is one, rendering it inoperable). I *just* got this (otherwise wonderful) Galaxy S3 merely two weeks ago. I took it to the physical store to get a replacement and your associate, Joshua Ha, instructed me that there was nothing I could do. !!! I flat-out asked for a recommendation on how to get it replaced, as I'm severely hobbled without my phone, and he flat-out stated that he's just doing his job and there was nothing he could do as he was covering the manager from a different store. Just two weeks ago, I re-upped my contract to specifically get this phone. I've recently been unhappy with Verizon, and this absolutely sends me over the edge. I would like someone to contact me directly so I can either get a replacement ASAP *OR* get me out of my contract. I'll be sending this via the online account management tool as well, and will be sending this out to several consumer advocacy sites. There are simply too many options out there re: competitors, and I simply pay too much a month for this level of "service". HUGELY disappointed. Please contact me via Facebook messages, as I cannot now use my phone... I can also be reached at brad.dunshee@***.com. Thank you--I sincerely hope that Verizon stands behind their products AND service level.

Shady practices by Verizon Wireless

Verizon wireless allowed someone who's not a registered account owner to make changes to may account. They've failed to notify me of the changes that were made and still want to charge me a $350.00 early termination fee. If its not bad enough they allowed this to happen, they also have several recording calls from MYSELF advising not to allow this person to have any control of the account. Several different customer service agents documented on 9/21/2012 and 9/21/2012 that this person was to make no changes.....Yet on 10/17/2012 they allowed him to purchase and iphone5 and upgrade my contact, locking me into another 2 yes contract. Ive made several attempts to have this situation addressed with Verizon and no one seems to care. So now i'm stuck with a $350.00 early termination fee which they refuse to waive! I suggest no one us this *** company, no one deal with Verizon. Clearly there profits supersede and form of customer service!!!! Thanks for listening Robin

Verizon Wireless Name-Calling

I called Verizon Wireless on November 9 regarding an issue on a past bill (it's a long story, and not relevant to this complaint). I was transferred to a "supervisor" who actually told my fiance (who was also on the call) that our inquiries were "none of our business." He said this several times before my fiance calmly asked to be transferred to a "manager." At this point, the "supervisor" thought he hung up on the call to transfer us but before he did he called my fiance a "***." We then spoke to the "manager" who told us the issue on the bill could not be resolved, fine, and we requested to a file a complaint against the representative who resorted to name-calling. We did so and were told we would hear back from Verizon in 1-3 business days regarding the complaint. I never heard back from them, surprise surprise, and called back today to follow up. Again, I was transferred to a "manager" who told me that they "do not call customers back regarding complaints." I then explained that I was not looking for information regarding the repercussions for the representative's actions, but rather some sort of "payment" for the mistreatment we received on the phone, whatever it may be. I specifically requested that the early termination fee be waived as I do not want to continue to pay hundreds a month to a company with THE MOST TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. I was told that there is absolutely no way to waive the termination fee, and essentially nothing they can do as a result of the name-calling and the anger on behalf of the customer service representative. I am beyond upset by this issue. It feels as if the Verizon agents enjoy saying "no" and lashing out at customers. I don't know if when I call I am actually speaking to a manager, and every "manager" I do speak takes a very angry, accusatory tone with me. I was actually reduced to tears following this last conversation. Is it really IMPOSSIBLE to waive the fee? Am I really not entitled to ANYTHING despite the fact that a supervisor called my fiance a ***, and told me I had no business asking questions that were "none of business?!" I am at the end of my rope with Verizon. Please help.

Verizon Customer Service

Ordered two I phones over 2 weeks ago so I was wanting to know the delivery date. So when I called verizon they said that it was cancelled but could not give me a reason why. But they took my credit card info and charged my card. I had to reorder the phones and the service person said that they would overnight them to us. Got my email this morning and they will not be here for another week. WOW IT'S NO WONDER THAT THEIR STOCKS ARE SO LOW. I WILL NEVER HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT VERIZON.

VERIZON SCAM SCAM SCAM

Walked into a BJ's Super Market, and was asking about having multiple numbers in different markets. I have a business in San Diego and just started in South Florida. The sales rep, said yes Verizon will allow you to have 2 numbers in different markets. One area code in California and one in Florida on the same plan. I currently have ATT and they do not have that feature. Also I have a Wireless Hot Spot with Verizon because of their Network is rated higher speed and more reliability. Also that I would transfer my IPhones over after my commitment with AT&T was done. Well Sales person suggested that I add a basic flip phone to my hot spot account for $30, which would bring my $80 hot spot bill plus flip phone $30 should been $110. When I got my bill it was almost $160. WTF went wrong? So I went into the BJ's and asked Why? he ran me around so much I had to call and talk to customer support. I am not 100% sure why he did what he did but basically he told me it was past the 14 day period of cancelling. Well YEAH your first bill doesn't come for 30 days and that i would have NEVER NEVER agreed to pay as much for an IPhone for a *** flip phone. He took my $80 a month plan and switched it to $100 plan and that $30 flip phone plan was really more. So my $80 bill for a hot spot I use daily for my work, and a "dumb" flip phone is $60 a month bringing grand total $150.00. plus taxes ect. so $160 something. Now I am not a rocket scientist but a freaking *** would not agree to this. So in closing they got me for 3 months since it has taken them 3-4 weeks to "help me work though this" and $180 cancellation for a scam I fell for. I guess education isn't cheap and if you are a careful person you can still get scammed even by the big companies. ADVISE if you are not with Verizon Good and if you are thinking of going with them DON"T!!! This will have costed me in the short time of service $420 to end the nightmare of the flip phone ( which BTW was originally ($30 a month remember ) and since we could not reach an agreement to just take that line back an additional $650 to end service with the hot spot. Costing me $1070 to do away with cheating, scamming liars. and lets put the numbers together for them shall we. $80 a month for 20 months that is what is left on hot spot contract......$1600 plus 2 iphones for 2 years @ $80 a month $5280 + 1600 = $6880. looks like I am not too bad off! as a business owner myself I would have just paid the $180 for my upset customer and made up the difference in the long run!!! STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON!!!!!! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!!! TO LIE, CHEAT and STEAL, but hey they are still making money just not from me EVER!!!!

Dishonest customer service

I went into a Verizon store to get my tablet activated. Instead of just activating it, the representative combined my service with my wife's prepaid unlimited service, canceling hers and effectively double billing us for set up fees, etc. The rep told me that he didn't know and couldn't tell what type of plan my wife was on because he couldn't find her in the system. It turns out that was a lie. Now Verizon says that they can't do anything about it because we didn't complain in 14 days. They didn't send us a bill for 45 days. Once my contract is up, I am leaving Verizon - even though I will have to buy a new tablet. The service rep told me an outright lie and that is completely unacceptable.

Verizon internet jetpack

We switched to the Verizon internet Jetpack and in less than 20 days (pass the time to send the product back in) realized that it is a total ripoff! We had to up our data package and until we completely turned it off would have had to up it again. DO NOT USE THIS PLAN....we did not play games or stream video and we used over 9 GBs in 20 days. Of course after talking with the customer service we were told completely opposite of what we were told when we were sold the product. We went back to Time Warner where at least we do not have to worry every time we turn on our computer that we are using 1 GB just browsing on the internet.

Horrible Customer Service in Verizon Wireless

I had the worst customer service today while dealing with so called "supervisor" of Customer service in Verizon Wireless today. I have Droid thunderbolt phone and less then 6 months ago the phone stopped charging. So I called and had the phone replaced. Now the same thing happened again. I called yesterday (Thursday) and a really nice gentleman advised me that it might be the battery issue and sent me a replacement battery. I have received the battery today, only to find out that the battery is not the issue. The phone is STILL not charging. I called back and was told that the only thing they can do for me is send me a phone replacement and i will get it on Tuesday. Today is Friday so that will be 6 days with out the phone. My issue with this whole thing is that this is the second time this phone needs to be replaced in 6 months! And the first time it was replaced my co worker, who has the same model of the phone, had the same exact issue. There are forums on Verizon about that exact model with people going through the same thing. To make the matters worse, the supervisor did not seem that he cared about my issue AT ALL. He was rude, and obviously couldn't care less that i have to deal with this twice in such a short period of time. I explained to the supervisor that the issue should have been taken care of yesterday when i first called and i should have had a new phone by now instead of a battery that was never the issue in the first place. He said he wasn't the one who talked to me yesterday, so he really doesnt care in a way. I asked if the device can be replaced with some other model, which would be more reliable.. Of course the answer was no. They can not replace my phone at the store either, so I have no choice but to wait for a week to be able to actually call someone. I was not rude and was just looking for someone to help me, but only got someone who obviously doesn't care. I was offered to upgrade another line i have on a plan and get a phone that way.. But why would i do that, to pay more money and sign another contract for 2 years. No thank you! After being treated the way I was today, i want to cancel my all four lines as soon as the contracts are over. I was offered no credit for all the inconvenience, no apology and was talked to like my business doesn't matter at all. So i will take my business elsewhere as soon as I can. And when i brought up the issue that so many people have the same issue wit this phone i was told that i can put in any model of the phone and find a lot of things that are not true written about it. It is true if it happened to me and a friend of mine, to me twice, in a matter of months Horrible customer service. I couldn't be more unhappy with the company.

Tell me about it! Verizon exists for one purpose only, to sell you more complicated and useless *** that you don't need on your wireless service at the highest profit to themselves possible.

Heck after Sandy, the 2012 Haloween Week Storm here along the NJ Coast many of us are still experiencing 50% to no telephone service now true the storm did alot of damage but I am old enough to remember the 1962 storm an how it wrecked Cape May but the old Bell System employees back then who were real Professionals had the system back up in 3 days and this in the days of 100% copper wired dial telephones! Today it's all about money period.

I switched to Tracfone wireless and I pay about $160 for a FULL YEAR of Nationwide wireless service including texting and voicemail. Take a look at Tracfone people, it's far far less $$$ and just as good as Verizon Wireless.

Verizon Wireless No customer service.

The people that work at Verizon are only interested in selling you something. They don't know much about what they are selling and will tell you anything even a lie to get you to buy. There is no customer service what so ever as no one there knows anything about the phones and can't help you. I have been lied to ignored and told it was my own fault. How does one get help when they have a problem. Last time I was there, the guy took two phone calls and kept looking the other way when I was trying to explain the problem to him. Phone still not right and not sure what to do.

VERIZON WIRELESS IS HORRENDOUS

So you have a confusing charge on your verizon wireless bill; you would like to clarify as to how you acquired this charge, so you try to call customer service to clear up the issue. YOU THOUGHT WRONG. What should be a simple phone call turns into a labrynth of purposefully ambiguous categories (phone charges vs. phone account charges vs. WHEN DOES THIS NIGHTMARE END), and odyssey of various passwords (you will need about five, and the account password is different from the billing password which is different from you account username which is different from the billing identification code). As if this wasn't bad enough, you now have to contend with the true beast of this crazy maze, the bullheaded *** beast. No, it's not a minotaur, it's a customer service representative. Thought you could celebrate because you are now hearing a real person's voice? YOU THOUGHT WRONG AGAIN. To say that customer service representatives are not helpful is to also say that the department of motor vehicles is a five star day spa. These people go OUT OF THEIR WAY to throw more obstacles at you to prevent you from ever finding out why you were charged $800. I am convinced that these people aren't so much humans as they are soul-sucking, paper pushing, head-set wearing jack holes who make Karl Rove look like the easter bunny.
