Verizon Wireless complaint
Following is a chat from my conversation with Verizon.... that shows that sales / customer service people have no idea of what they are selling....

Online sales person was quoting the price of $59.99 for the $15.99 Blackberry Broadband access service and when I called Verison they were able to add requested services for $15.

---------------------------------

Please wait for a Verizon Wireless sales representative to assist you with your order. Thank you for your patience!

A Verizon Wireless online pre-sales specialist has joined the chat. You are now chatting with Raymond.

You: hi

You: I need to add BroadBandAccess to my blackberry

Raymond.: I'd be happy to help you with that.

You: great

You: my phone number is xxx xxx xxxx

Raymond.: Yes you can use the black berry s a modem. Is that what you mean?

You: yes

Raymond.: That will cost you 59.99 a month.

You: no

You: this will cost me $15

You: you can see this @

You: http://b2b.vzw.com/productsservices/wirelessinternet/broadbandaccessconnect.html

You: can you add broadband to my account?

Raymond.: For the black berry, it will cost either 29.99 a month for limited internet to 44.99 for unlimited internet access.

Raymond.: The 15$ is not for a black berry.

You: $15 with Nationwide Email or Unlimited Data Feature added to an eligible calling plan and I have that on my number

You: $15 is for blackberry

Raymond.: i understand that. The plans we now offer for black berry cost either 29.99 a month for limited internet to 44.99 for unlimited internet access.

You: ok

You: I am on the phone

You: with cust service rep and they already did it for $15

You: I called the number

You: and was told that the service that I need is called tethering

You: and it will cost $15 + Verizon Sales person already sent a request to add that to my number

You: so I guess I will not need any help from you... but I think you should know that it is $15

Raymond.: On black berry?

You: yes

Raymond.: Okay, as far as i know it is 29.99 minimum.

You: no problem... just thought you should know this for the future...

Actually Raymond was correct. Minimum for unlimited access BB service is $29.99, if you would like to tether is is and additional $30. Or if you have the $44.99 feature then it is only $15 to tether. Either way, using the BB as a modem or aircard internet access has to total $59.99.

However there is a new internet option that was released a few months ago that is $39.99 but it is only for 10 MB of usage. If you only wanted 10MB on the BB it is $24.99

Raymond was correct...in a way. $29.99 is the minimum for the Blackberry Service...add an additional $15 for the Phone as a Modem Package, and you have a price of $44.99 total. He just didn't explain it that way.

If you saw how they treat their reps, you would realize that this "Raymond" is probably not the one you should be *** about. It's these upper-management idiots whose sole focus is increasing revenue. Verizon is a lying sack of *** excuse for a company, and the turnover rate is ridiculous. Chances are good that "Raymond" was another unsuspecting new hire who will soon see what a mistake he made by choosing to work for them.
